What is Lowcoder?

Is Lowcoder free?
Yes — the Community Edition is free and open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). What you pay xCloud for is the dedicated server it runs on and the management around it, not the application itself.
Can I self-host Lowcoder?
Yes — that is exactly what this template deploys. It brings up the official Lowcoder Community Edition 2.7.6 all-in-one image pinned by immutable digest, mounts its persistent data volume and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain in minutes instead of assembled by hand.
How do I sign in?
With the administrator email and password you set at install time — the password can be auto-generated. That account is created during bootstrap, so there's no separate public signup step.
Can other people register their own accounts?
No. Public self-registration is disabled in this baseline. The bootstrap administrator is the only account created at install; adding more users is a deliberate step inside Lowcoder.
Are MongoDB and Redis separate services I need to manage?
No. Both run inside the same all-in-one Lowcoder container as internal components, with no host port published for either. You interact only with the Lowcoder web interface.
What does xCloud configure automatically?
The administrator credentials you provide, plus generated database-encryption, API-key and inter-service secrets, the persistent lowcoder_data volume, the domain and the HTTPS route. Only the Lowcoder web interface is published through xCloud-managed ingress.
How do I change the administrator password?
Sign in and change it from Lowcoder's own account or administration settings. Editing the bootstrap environment value later does not change the live password and is not a substitute for an in-application change.
What should I back up?
The lowcoder_data volume together with the rendered environment. The volume holds the embedded MongoDB and Redis state, application assets, plugins and logs; the environment holds the encryption and service secrets required to read that state.
Can I rotate the database encryption password or salt?
Not without a tested upstream data-migration procedure. Changing LOWCODER_DB_ENCRYPTION_PASSWORD or LOWCODER_DB_ENCRYPTION_SALT independently can make stored encrypted data unreadable — treat both as stable, coordinated values.
Does xCloud automatically back up or update Lowcoder?
No. The template pins Lowcoder 2.7.6 by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Review upstream release notes, back up the persistent volume and environment, and test upgrades on a restored copy first.
What are the server requirements?
The template manifest asks for 4 GB of RAM, two CPU cores and 10 GB of disk as a floor — Lowcoder's all-in-one image runs an embedded MongoDB and Redis alongside the application. That's why this page sells the 16 GB tier rather than the smaller size most OneClick apps use.
Is xCloud officially partnered with Lowcoder?
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Lowcoder project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Lowcoder Community Edition.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
