Maxun hosting on xCloud gives you a self-hosted web scraping platform on your own domains. Deploy Maxun and xCloud runs the pinned frontend, backend and browser images beside PostgreSQL and MinIO storage, creates the first account from the email you enter, closes public sign-up, publishes the web app, API and storage endpoints over HTTPS, and keeps accounts, robots and run files on persistent volumes. Record a robot by clicking through a site.
Self-hosted Maxun is an open-source, no-code web data extraction platform. You record a robot by clicking through a site in a real browser, then run it on a schedule, from the REST API or from a webhook, and send the results to JSON or CSV downloads, Google Sheets or Airtable. Upstream describes an open-source web data platform for scraping, crawling, monitoring and AI data extraction. It is AGPL-3.0 licensed.
On xCloud the template runs the Maxun frontend v0.0.60, backend v0.0.64 and browser v0.0.2 images with PostgreSQL 17, MinIO and an nginx gateway, all pinned by digest. Three domains serve the web app, the API and public storage downloads. The maxun_postgres_data and maxun_minio_data volumes hold accounts, robots, runs, screenshots and files.
Self-hosting Maxun normally means a database, object storage, a headless browser, three domains sharing a parent and a certificate before a single robot runs. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Maxun from the OneClick catalog, enter the administrator email, and choose one domain each for the web app, the API and storage under one parent domain.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Maxun images for the backend, frontend and browser, generate the password, and publish all three domains over HTTPS. Allow about two minutes for first start.
Step 03
Open the HTTPS Maxun URL and sign in with the administrator email and generated password. Create your first robot, run it, and open the run to see the data and screenshot.
Maxun runs in full here — the robot recorder, REST API, webhooks and run storage, on infrastructure you control.
Record a scraping robot by clicking through a site in a real browser, with no code required.
Run robots from the web app, the REST API with an API key header, or webhooks.
Capture extracted data and screenshots, served from your own storage domain.
Sign-up is closed by default, so only your seeded account can use the server's browser.
Robots, runs, accounts, screenshots and files survive an xCloud Restart — verified by restarting all containers and finding the robot, run and screenshot link intact.
Add your own keys for optional output to Google Sheets and Airtable, or optional LLM-assisted extraction.
Managed hosting for Maxun, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A user clicks through a site in a real browser to record a robot, then runs it and opens the run to see the extracted data and a screenshot.
A developer triggers robots from the REST API with an API key, or lets a schedule or webhook start them, and collects the results programmatically.
An analyst sends results to JSON or CSV downloads, or to Google Sheets or Airtable once the optional credentials are configured.
A team runs the browser, queue and storage on its own Cloud VPS, with accounts limited to people it trusts and sign-up closed.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes. Maxun is AGPL-3.0 licensed with open source code. xCloud charges for the dedicated Cloud VPS only. No paid Maxun tier is added, and the template keeps telemetry off, which upstream turns on by default.
Yes, and this template is Maxun Docker hosting without the assembly. It starts the Maxun frontend, backend and browser images with PostgreSQL 17, MinIO and an nginx gateway, all pinned by digest, publishes three endpoints behind HTTPS and mounts two volumes.
Maxun's manifest floor is 1 GB of RAM, two cores and 10 GB of disk, more for heavy or concurrent robots. A Maxun cloud install on the 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here fits. Each running robot holds a browser page in memory, so lower concurrency on small servers.
Open the web app, sign in with the email and password from the installation credentials, create a robot and click through the target site in the recording browser. Save it, run it, then open the run to see the extracted data and screenshot.
No. Maxun has no setting to disable registration and upstream leaves the register path open, so the template's gateway answers it with a 403 and creates your first account at install. To open sign-up for a while, set the registration variable to open, redeploy, then set it back.
Yes. Create an API key in the web app, then call the API domain with it in the x-api-key header to run robots from outside. The API domain also serves the interactive API documentation. Sign-in cookies are set by the API domain, so keep the domains under one parent.
Yes, and that matters. Robots drive a real Chromium on your server and fetch whatever address they are given, including internal services. Every account can do this, so give accounts only to people you trust, even with sign-up closed.
Back up maxun_postgres_data, which holds accounts, robots, schedules and run history, and maxun_minio_data, which holds screenshots and files from runs, together, using pg_dump and a copy of the MinIO volume. Keep the database password and storage keys, and keep copies off the server.
Your install stays on its pinned versions until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the database and storage volumes first, because upstream ships schema migrations as a separate command that these images do not run at start. Read the upstream notes before upgrading.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
