NZBHydra2 Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

NZBHydra2 hosting from xCloud lets you deploy NZBHydra2 and give Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr one search endpoint for all your indexers. We run the pinned NZBHydra2 9.1.1 container, write your administrator login into the first configuration so a fresh instance is never open, mount a persistent volume for settings, indexer keys and the database, and publish the interface and API over HTTPS.

What is NZBHydra2?

NZBHydra2 is a meta search and indexer proxy: a Usenet indexer proxy that also handles torrent trackers. You add your own Newznab and Torznab indexers once, and it merges and de-duplicates their results behind a single Newznab-compatible API. Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr and Readarr query that one endpoint, and NZBHydra2 keeps search history and indexer statistics. Run on your own server it is a self-hosted NZBHydra2, released under the GNU GPL v3.

On xCloud the template deploys NZBHydra2 9.1.1 as the LinuxServer image pinned by digest, a single container with its settings, indexer keys, H2 database, logs and backups on the nzbhydra2_config volume. Form login is enabled from the first start with the administrator account you chose. No indexers, downloader or media apps are bundled; you add your own.

From Sign-Up to a Live Indexer Proxy In Just 3 Easy Steps

Running NZBHydra2 yourself means a Java container, a config volume, a login you have to remember to switch on, a domain and a certificate before the first search. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick NZBHydra2 from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain, set an administrator username and password (the password is generated if you leave it empty) and a timezone.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the NZBHydra2 container pinned by immutable digest, mount the nzbhydra2_config volume for settings, indexer keys, database, logs and backups, enable form login from the first start, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Add Your Indexers

Open your HTTPS NZBHydra2 URL (the first start takes about a minute) and sign in. Add your own indexers under Config, then copy the API key from Config > Main into Sonarr, Radarr or a similar app.

Everything NZBHydra2 Does, On Your Own Server

NZBHydra2 runs in full here: a search and indexer proxy on your own domain, with the configuration and database on a volume you own.

  • One Newznab API

Add your indexers once and expose them to your media managers as a single Newznab-compatible API.

  • Usenet And Torrent Indexers

Add Newznab and Torznab indexers under Config and test them from the same interface.

  • De-Duplicated Results

Results from several indexers are merged and de-duplicated into one list.

  • Search History And Statistics

Review search history and per-indexer statistics from the History and Stats pages.

  • Login From The First Start

Form login and access restrictions are on from the first start, using the administrator account you chose in the install form.

  • Persistent Configuration

Settings, indexer keys, the database, logs and backups live on the nzbhydra2_config volume and survive an xCloud Restart.

Everything You Need To Run Your Indexer Proxy 24/7

Managed hosting for NZBHydra2, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • NZBHydra2 9.1.1 deployed instantly
  • Image pinned by immutable digest
  • Administrator login from the install form
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • Choose your server region
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With NZBHydra2

  • One indexer list for every media manager

Enter your indexers once in NZBHydra2 and point Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr at a single URL and API key.

  • Cleaner search results

Merge results from several indexers and drop the duplicates before they reach your media apps.

  • See how your indexers perform

Use search history and indexer statistics to review what was searched and which indexers answered.

  • A search endpoint that is never open

Keep the web interface behind a login from the first start and the API behind its API key, on a public HTTPS URL.

NZBHydra2 vs Alternatives

Prowlarr
Prowlarr has its own OneClick page. In an NZBHydra2 vs Prowlarr comparison, NZBHydra2 exposes the indexers you add as one Newznab API and keeps its own search history and indexer statistics.
Jackett
Jackett has its own OneClick page. Upstream lists Jackett as a source of Torznab trackers for NZBHydra2, so the two can also work together as an alternative to Jackett alone.
Indexers inside each media app
Sonarr, Radarr and Lidarr can each keep their own indexer list. NZBHydra2 lets you enter the indexers once and hand every app the same API URL and key.
Searching indexers one by one
Upstream's NZBHydra2 searches several indexers at once, then merges and de-duplicates the results and records indexer statistics, instead of you checking each site by hand.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo Villa
Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Is NZBHydra2 free?

Yes. NZBHydra2 is GPL-3.0 software, so there is no licence fee and no per-indexer charge from the project. You pay for the Cloud VPS running the Java container and its nzbhydra2_config volume. Your indexers' own memberships are separate and are not provided here.

How much RAM does NZBHydra2 need?

Idle, the Java process used about 340 MiB in QA, against a manifest floor of 512 MB RAM, a single core and 2 GB disk. Upstream's default Java heap is 256 MiB, so many indexers or big result sets can need more. The 6 GB tier gives that room.

Can you self-host NZBHydra2 with Docker?

Yes, and this template is NZBHydra2 Docker hosting without the setup: the LinuxServer 9.1.1 image pinned by tag and digest, a nzbhydra2_config volume, form login seeded on first start, and HTTPS on your own domain. No indexers or downloader come with it.

How do I connect Sonarr and Radarr to NZBHydra2?

Add your HTTPS URL as a Newznab indexer in Sonarr, Radarr or a similar app, and paste the API key from Config > Main as its API key. The API is authenticated by that key rather than by the login form, so keep the key private.

What is the difference between NZBHydra2 and Prowlarr?

Both sit between indexers and media managers, and Prowlarr has its own OneClick page here. NZBHydra2 presents your indexers as one Newznab API, merges and de-duplicates results, and keeps search history and statistics. Compare each tool's indexer support against the sources you use.

Is NZBHydra2 secure to expose to the internet?

The interface starts behind form login with restrictions on, and the API needs its key. Upstream serves a static Swagger UI page without sign-in and has no setting to turn it off, so restrict it at your own proxy if that matters to you.

How do I sign in to NZBHydra2?

Use the administrator username and password from the install form; the password is generated if you left it empty. Change users later under Config > Authorization, because editing the environment values does not change an existing login. The first start takes about a minute.

How do I back up NZBHydra2?

Back up the whole nzbhydra2_config volume, which holds nzbhydra.yml with your indexer API keys, the H2 database, logs and the app's own backup zips. Copy it while the app is stopped or idle, then test a restore into an isolated instance.

How do I upgrade NZBHydra2?

Your install keeps NZBHydra2 9.1.1 until you adopt a newer template version, because the container's own updater is disabled. Copy nzbhydra2_config first, since it holds indexer keys, and skim upstream's release notes. Nothing runs an upgrade for you in the background.

Does the install include indexers or a downloader?

No. NZBHydra2 bundles no indexers, downloader or media application, and the template adds none. You add only indexers and download clients you are authorised to use, then point your media apps at the NZBHydra2 URL.

Is there an NZBHydra2 cloud service I can sign up to?

This page is your own NZBHydra2 cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running one container with your indexer keys and history on a volume you control. It is a private instance of the open-source app, not a shared multi-user service.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
