I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

What is Excalidraw?

Excalidraw is an open-source virtual whiteboard for sketching diagrams with a hand-drawn feel. It supports real-time collaboration, a massive shape library, and exports to PNG, SVG and its own open .excalidraw format.

Do I need technical skills?

No. There is nothing to configure by hand and no terminal to open. You pick a server size and we provision, install and maintain everything for you.

How long does deployment take?

About five minutes. You create an account, choose a plan, and your whiteboard is live — no server setup in between.

What's the difference between xCloud and DIY hosting?

DIY hosting on DigitalOcean, Contabo or Hostinger means Docker, a reverse proxy and manual updates before your first sketch. On xCloud it's 5 minutes to a live whiteboard, zero maintenance, automatic updates and backups, and 24/7 expert support.

Is my data safe and private?

Every plan is a dedicated Cloud VPS — every board you draw stays on your own server, not a third party's. We provision it, patch it, monitor it and back it up, and a free SSL certificate is included.

Can my team collaborate in real time?

Can I export my diagrams?

Any board exports to PNG, SVG, or the open .excalidraw JSON format, so your diagrams are never locked into one tool.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
