What is Pulsarr?

Pulsarr is real-time Plex watchlist monitoring, routing and notification software. Upstream says it bridges Plex watchlists with Sonarr and Radarr for automated content acquisition, all from within the Plex app with no extra logins required, with multi-user watchlist sync, content routing, approval workflows with quotas, and notifications via Discord, Plex mobile push and Apprise. A self-hosted Pulsarr is Plex watchlist automation, self-hosted on a server you run. It is AGPL-3.0 licensed.

On xCloud the template runs Pulsarr 0.19.2 as one container from the official image, pinned by digest, with its SQLite database, settings and logs on the pulsarr_data volume. The xCloud form collects nothing and generates no login: you create the first administrator in Pulsarr's setup flow. Is Pulsarr open source?

Yes. Pulsarr is released under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0, so there is nothing to buy from the project. You pay for the Cloud VPS that keeps its database, while Plex, Sonarr and Radarr are separate.

How do I connect Pulsarr to Sonarr and Radarr?

Create your administrator, then add your Plex token and verify the connection, add Sonarr and Radarr URLs and API keys, and choose quality profiles and root folders in Pulsarr's settings. Keep those values out of screenshots and support logs.

Is Pulsarr a replacement for Overseerr?

Not directly. Pulsarr monitors Plex watchlists and routes matches into Sonarr and Radarr, with approvals and quotas, all from within the Plex app per upstream. If you want a separate request portal, Seerr has its own OneClick page, so choose by workflow.

Who creates the Pulsarr administrator account?

You do. The xCloud form has no app-specific fields and creates no login, so open the HTTPS URL after deployment and create the first administrator in Pulsarr's setup flow straight away, before anyone else reaches it.

Does this template install Plex, Sonarr or Radarr?

No. Pulsarr does not install Plex, Sonarr, Radarr, download clients or media storage. They must already run elsewhere, and you enter their URLs, tokens and API keys inside Pulsarr after installation. Add each one first, then enter its details in Pulsarr.

How much RAM does Pulsarr need?

The manifest asks for 1 GB of RAM, one CPU core and 10 GB of disk. Pulsarr stores no media, but its database and logs grow with library size, users and sync activity. The 6 GB plan gives comfortable headroom.

How do I back up Pulsarr?

Back up the pulsarr_data volume as one unit. It holds the SQLite database, configuration, protected integration settings and logs. Quiesce the app before copying SQLite data, and test the restore on a disposable install first.

How do I update Pulsarr?

The install stays on Pulsarr 0.19.2 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up pulsarr_data and read the upstream migration notes first, then sign in and verify a saved setting or a routing rule. Nothing updates the app automatically.

Is there a Pulsarr cloud service I can use?

This page is your own Pulsarr cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running the open-source tool, with your integration settings kept on a volume of your own. Nobody else shares the instance, and you decide who may sign in.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
