RadaRec Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy RadaRec hosting and turn your Radarr library into a source of new movies to watch. xCloud runs the pinned RadaRec 0.2.8 image behind a Caddy gateway that asks for a generated admin login, mounts a persistent settings volume and publishes the interface over HTTPS in minutes — so your Radarr and TMDB keys are never open to the public.

What is RadaRec?

RadaRec is an open-source web GUI for finding movies similar to ones you already have. You pick movies from your Radarr library, RadaRec asks TMDB for similar titles, and you add the ones you like to Radarr straight from the page.

It does not download or store media itself: it is a companion that talks to your Radarr instance and to TMDB, and it keeps its settings in a single JSON file.

From Sign-Up to Your First Recommendation In Just 3 Easy Steps

A RadaRec stack normally means an app container, an authentication layer, a settings volume, a domain and a certificate before the first suggestion. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick RadaRec from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then set the admin username (default admin) — the password is generated for you.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We run the community RadaRec image, pinned by immutable digest and kept private to the stack, behind a Caddy 2.10.2 gateway that enforces the HTTP Basic login. The radarec_config volume holds your settings, and the gateway is published over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Connect Radarr And TMDB

Save the generated password from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS RadaRec URL and sign in. In Settings enter your Radarr address, Radarr API key, root folder and a TMDB API key, then load your Radarr library and start.

Everything RadaRec Does, On Your Own Server

RadaRec runs in full here: movie recommendations built from your Radarr library, on your own domain, behind a login.

  • Recommendations From Your Library

Pick movies from your Radarr library and RadaRec returns TMDB-based recommendations, each with its rating, votes and genres.

  • One-Click Add To Radarr

Add a recommendation to Radarr from the page, using the Radarr address, API key and root folder saved in Settings.

  • Editable Settings In The App

The Radarr address, API keys and root folder are edited in the Settings panel and stored in settings_config.json on the persistent radarec_config volume.

  • Filters For Rating, Votes And Language

Upstream exposes minimum rating, minimum votes and a language choice as settings, so the suggestions can be narrowed before you add anything.

  • Login In Front Of The Whole UI

A Caddy gateway enforces HTTP Basic Authentication with the admin username you choose and a generated 32-character password; anonymous and wrong-password requests get 401.

  • Small Footprint

Measured idle use in QA was about 76 MiB across both containers, so it fits easily beside the rest of your media stack.

Everything You Need To Run Your Movie Recommender 24/7

Managed hosting for RadaRec, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • RadaRec 0.2.8 deployed instantly
  • Community image pinned by digest
  • Admin password generated for you
  • HTTP Basic login in front of the UI
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With RadaRec

  • Grow a Radarr library from what you already like

Select a handful of favourites in your library and get a list of similar movies, each with its rating, vote count and genres.

  • Add a recommendation in one click

Send a movie you picked straight to Radarr instead of searching for it by hand.

  • Cut the list down before it reaches Radarr

Use the minimum rating, minimum votes and language settings to keep low-rated or unwanted titles out of the recommendations.

  • Keep the keys behind a login

Run the interface on your own HTTPS domain with the Radarr and TMDB keys protected by an HTTP Basic login instead of an open port.

RadaRec vs Alternatives

Radarr import lists
Radarr can add movies from lists on its own; RadaRec instead builds suggestions from the movies you choose in your library.

A request manager where users ask for media; RadaRec is a single-purpose tool for recommending movies from your Radarr library.
TMDB website
Browsing similar movies by hand on themoviedb.org works for one title at a time and does not add anything to Radarr.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What does RadaRec need?

A reachable Radarr instance with its API key, and a free TMDB API key. RadaRec does not replace Radarr; it suggests movies and adds the ones you pick to it.

How do I sign in?

With the HTTP Basic username and generated password from the installation credentials. RadaRec has no accounts of its own, so this one shared login is what protects the Radarr and TMDB keys saved in Settings.

What runs alongside RadaRec?

A Caddy gateway that enforces the login in front of the app and its websocket. The RadaRec container itself has no published host ports and is private to the stack.

Why can't RadaRec reach my Radarr?

Radarr must be reachable from the server. Use its public URL or LAN IP, not localhost, because localhost points at the RadaRec container itself.

Can I put my keys in the environment file instead of Settings?

Yes, but values you uncomment in the environment file are applied on every start and win over the same field in Settings, so edits to those fields in the app are lost on restart. Leave them commented to manage them in the app.

Does the page need internet access in my browser?

Yes. The page loads Bootstrap, Font Awesome and the Socket.IO client from public CDNs, so visitors need internet access.

Who can see my Radarr and TMDB keys?

Anyone with the Basic Auth credentials can read and change the saved keys, so share them only with people you trust.

What should I back up?

The radarec_config volume, which holds settings_config.json including your saved API keys, and the stable environment values.

What survives a restart?

Settings survive an xCloud Restart because they live on the radarec_config volume. Recommendations and run state are kept in memory and start fresh.

Can I run more than one instance?

No. Keep RadaRec as a single instance: its recommendations and run state live in one process.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update RadaRec?

No. The template pins RadaRec 0.2.8 and the Caddy gateway by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 128 MB of RAM and 1 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 76 MiB across both containers. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with RadaRec?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the RadaRec project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source RadaRec project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
