SickGear Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy SickGear hosting and run your TV show manager on your own server. xCloud runs the pinned SickGear 3.29.4 image as a single container, writes your username and a generated password into SickGear's settings before its first start, mounts persistent volumes for settings, the show library and incoming downloads, and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain.

What is SickGear?

SickGear is an open-source usenet and bittorrent PVR. It manages TV shows and anime, detects new episodes, and links to downloader apps such as NZBGet, SABnzbd, qBittorrent and Deluge. It is a SickBeard descendant, with a web interface you can run on a dark or light theme.

SickGear does not ship its own sources: you add the usenet and torrent providers and the download client you already use. This template deploys version 3.29.4 as a single container, with no database or other service alongside it.

From Sign-Up to a Running Show Manager In Just 3 Easy Steps

A SickGear install normally means a container, a sign-in you have to remember to set, three storage locations, a domain and a certificate before you can add a show. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick SickGear from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, set the web interface username and password (generated if left empty) and your timezone.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official SickGear image as a single container, pinned by immutable digest, write your sign-in into its settings before the first start, mount the sickgear_data, sickgear_tv and sickgear_incoming volumes, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Add Your First Show

The first start takes about a minute. Open your HTTPS SickGear URL, sign in with the credentials card, add a show from Add Shows, then connect your own search providers and download client under Config.

Everything SickGear Does, On Your Own Server

SickGear runs in full here: the same web interface for tracking shows, searching providers and filing episodes, behind a sign-in from the first start.

  • Track Shows And Anime

SickGear manages TV shows and anime, detects new episodes and shows what is missed and upcoming in Daily Schedule layouts such as Day by Day.

  • Your Own Providers

Searches usenet and torrent sources you configure under Config. No providers are bundled, so you connect the ones you already use.

  • Hand Off To Download Clients

Forward search results to clients such as NZBGet, SABnzbd, qBittorrent and Deluge, or save them to a blackhole folder for a client to pick up.

  • Post Processing And Renaming

Built-in post processing files episodes under /tv with configurable folder and file names; completed downloads are picked up from /incoming.

  • Library And Notifications

Fetch metadata for clients such as Kodi, Emby, Plex and Jellyfin, and notify them to update their library when episodes arrive.

  • Sign-In From The First Start

Your username and password are written into SickGear's settings before it first starts, so the interface is not open without a sign-in.

Everything You Need To Run Your TV Show Manager 24/7

Managed hosting for SickGear, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • SickGear 3.29.4 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Sign-in generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With SickGear

  • Keep one schedule for the series you follow

Add the shows you watch and see missed and upcoming episodes at a glance in Daily Schedule, instead of keeping track across apps.

  • Automate episode search with your own providers

Connect your usenet and torrent providers and let SickGear search for the episodes you want, then forward results to your download client.

  • Keep a tidy, renamed library

Post processing moves finished episodes into the /tv volume with consistent folder and file names, picking completed downloads up from /incoming.

  • Keep your media apps up to date

Fetch metadata for Kodi, Emby, Plex or Jellyfin and notify them to update their library when new episodes are filed.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

With the username and password on the installation credentials card. They come from the install form (the password is generated if left empty) and are written into SickGear's settings before it first starts.

What runs alongside SickGear?

Nothing. It is a single container with no separate database or other service.

Does it come with Usenet or torrent providers and a download client?

No. SickGear starts with no shows and no providers. Add shows from Add Shows, then connect your own search providers and download client under Config.

Where do episodes and downloads go?

Finished shows are managed under the /tv volume and completed downloads are picked up from /incoming inside the container. Both are empty volumes in a new install.

How do I change the username or password later?

Change it in SickGear under Config, General, Interface. The credentials are written into SickGear's settings once, on the first start, so editing them later in the deployment environment does not change the sign-in.

Why am I asked to sign in again after a redeploy?

The sign-in session ends whenever SickGear restarts, so you sign in again after a redeploy or restart.

Why does the Webcal link on Daily Schedule show port 8081?

Behind the proxy the Webcal link shows the wrong port (8081). To subscribe to the calendar, use your site's /calendar address instead.

What should I back up?

The three volumes: sickgear_data (settings, databases, cache and logs), sickgear_tv (the show library) and sickgear_incoming (completed downloads). Keep the generated credentials private.

What survives a restart?

Data on the three named volumes. In QA, a show added to SickGear was still listed after an xCloud Restart and a new sign-in.

Which SickGear version is this, and how do I upgrade?

SickGear 3.29.4, from the official image, which Docker Hub publishes only as latest and develop. The template pins that image by immutable digest, so an upstream rebuild cannot silently change an install. xCloud does not upgrade it automatically: back up, read the upstream release notes, then move the pinned digest on your own schedule.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 90 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, which leaves headroom above that baseline.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update SickGear?

No. Application data lives on the three volumes, which you back up, and the image is pinned by digest so new installations use the pinned release. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

Is xCloud officially partnered with SickGear?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the SickGear project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source SickGear project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
