Deploy SOGo hosting and give your team shared calendars and address books on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned SOGo 5.12.11 image with a private PostgreSQL 16.15 database, signs the administrator in with the email you enter and a generated 24-character password, mounts persistent volumes and publishes SOGo over HTTPS in minutes — calendars and contacts work straight after install, and CalDAV/CardDAV clients can sync with the same login.
SOGo is a free, open-source groupware server from Alinto. Upstream describes it as offering shared calendars, address books and email through a web browser or a native client, built on standard protocols — CalDAV, CardDAV, GroupDAV, iMIP and iTIP — and reusing existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers.
In this deployment SOGo keeps users, calendars and contacts in a private PostgreSQL database. SOGo is not a mail server itself: webmail appears when you connect an IMAP server, plus SMTP for sending, that you already run or rent. SOGo is licensed under GPL-2.0 (server) and LGPL-2.0 (libraries).
A SOGo stack normally means a web container, a PostgreSQL database, a generated configuration, persistent volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first calendar event. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick SOGo from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and server, then enter the Administrator email — it becomes the administrator login, and its domain becomes the default mail domain.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the community SOGo image pinned by immutable digest, with a private PostgreSQL 16.15 database that has no published port, mount the sogo_db and sogo_data volumes, generate the administrator and database passwords, and publish SOGo over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open https://your-domain/SOGo/ (the first boot can take about a minute) and sign in with the administrator email and the generated password. Create a calendar event and a contact, connect a CalDAV/CardDAV client, then change the password under Preferences.
SOGo runs in full here: shared calendars and address books in the browser, with standard sync protocols and a database you own.
Create calendars and events from the web interface at /SOGo/, ready to use right after install. No mail server is needed for calendars.
Keep contacts in personal address books in the browser, also working straight after install without a mail server.
Desktop and mobile clients sync with the SOGo login. Clients that support discovery only need the site address, and /.well-known/caldav and /.well-known/carddav redirect to the DAV endpoint over HTTPS.
Every user signs in to their own account and cannot see another user's data. Unauthenticated DAV requests are refused with a 401.
Set IMAP_SERVER and SMTP_SERVER in the environment editor to add webmail on top of a mail server you already run or rent. Setting SMTP also turns on invitation emails.
PostgreSQL 16.15 has no published ports and is reachable only by SOGo. Users, calendars, contacts and logins survive a restart.
Managed hosting for SOGo, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Give every person their own account with a calendar and address book, on a server you control instead of a hosted suite.
Point CalDAV and CardDAV clients at your domain and keep events and contacts in step with the browser, using the SOGo login.
Connect your own IMAP and SMTP server so people read mail in the same interface as their calendar and contacts.
Users, calendars, contacts and sessions live in a private PostgreSQL database on your own server, with both volumes available for backup.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

No. SOGo gives you calendars, contacts and a webmail front end. Calendars and contacts work on their own. For webmail you connect an IMAP server, plus SMTP for sending, that you already run or rent.
Not in this deployment. The image does not include SOGo's ActiveSync module. Phones and desktop apps sync through CalDAV and CardDAV.
Open https://your-domain/SOGo/ and sign in with the Administrator email you entered on the install form and the generated 24-character password from the protected installation credentials. The first boot can take about a minute.
SOGo has no sign-up page. The administrator adds users, and resets their passwords, with the bundled SQL helper sogo_add_user in the database container: SELECT sogo_add_user('<email>', '<name>', '<password>'); Each user then signs in to an account kept separate from everyone else's, and can change their own password under Preferences.
Use your SOGo login and password. Clients that support discovery only need https://your-domain/. Otherwise use https://your-domain/SOGo/dav/<login>/. The CalDAV/CardDAV URL is also listed in the installation credentials.
Set IMAP_SERVER and SMTP_SERVER in the environment editor, then Redeploy. SOGo signs in to IMAP and SMTP with each user's SOGo login and password, so every SOGo user must match a mailbox with the same credentials. Setting SMTP also turns on invitation emails; email reminders are not enabled by default.
SOGo keeps their login cached for a few minutes. Restart the sogo container to cut them off immediately.
Back up the sogo_db volume (all user data, preferably via pg_dump from the database container) and the sogo_data volume (the generated configuration). Keep an off-server copy and test a restore.
SOGo's configuration is rebuilt from the environment on every Redeploy. To hand-edit sogo.conf, for example for LDAP users, set SOGO_MANAGED_CONFIG=no. The generated admin and database passwords are read only on the first launch, so editing them later rotates nothing.
Users, calendars, contacts and logins survive a restart: QA checked this with a container restart, and an event, a contact and a second user's sign-in were all still there afterwards.
No. The template pins SOGo 5.12.11 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites stay pinned until updated. Back up both volumes first and read the upstream release notes, then change the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. SOGo updates its database tables itself when it starts. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; QA measured about 98 MiB idle and 164 MiB peak across both containers. Upstream recommends 2 GB for production use, so add memory for many simultaneous users. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the SOGo project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source SOGo project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
