Yaade Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Yaade hosting and give your team a self-hosted API client on your own domain. xCloud runs the official Yaade image, pinned by digest, in a single container with its built-in database, generates the admin password, mounts a persistent volume and publishes the interface over HTTPS. Your requests, which may hold sensitive tokens, stay on your own server, and only the admin can create accounts.

What is Yaade?

Yaade, Yet Another API Development Environment, is an open-source, self-hosted, collaborative API development environment. Upstream says its author wanted a self-hosted Postman alternative so teammates can share API collections, and lists multi-user permissions, REST and WebSocket requests with Markdown documentation, scripts that run as cron jobs, import from OpenAPI or Postman, and requests proxied through the browser or the server. Self-hosted Yaade replaces a hosted API client and is MIT-licensed.

On xCloud it is the latest upstream image pinned by digest, because upstream publishes no version tags. It runs as one container with a built-in database on the yaade_data volume. Registration is closed: only the admin creates accounts. Requests can be sent from the server, so anyone with an account can reach addresses the server can reach, including private ones.

From Sign-Up to a Live API Client In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting an API client normally means a container, a data volume, an admin account, a domain and a certificate before the first request is sent. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Yaade from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, and optionally change the Admin Username (the default is admin).

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Yaade image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with its built-in database, mount the yaade_data volume, generate the admin password and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Sign In As The Admin

Save the Initial Admin Password from the installation credentials, open your HTTPS Yaade URL and sign in. Then change the password under the gear icon > Account and create team accounts under Users.

Everything Yaade Does, On Your Own Server

Yaade runs in full here: a multi-user API client on your own domain, with its data on a volume you control.

  • Shared API Collections

Build, send and organise HTTP requests in collections that teammates can use through their own accounts.

  • Admin-Managed Accounts

Registration is closed: only the admin creates accounts, under the gear icon > Users.

  • Server-Side Proxy

Send requests from the server by setting an environment's Proxy to Server, or use the browser extension with the default Extension proxy.

  • Request And Response Scripts

Write request and response scripts in JavaScript to prepare requests and check responses.

  • OpenAPI And Postman Import

Bring existing work in by importing from OpenAPI or Postman.

  • Built-In Database, Nothing Else To Run

One container with a built-in database; users, collections and uploaded files live in the yaade_data volume.

Everything You Need To Run Your API Client 24/7

Managed hosting for Yaade, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Yaade deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Admin password generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Yaade

  • Share API collections with a team

Keep collections of requests on a server your teammates sign in to, instead of passing exports around.

  • Test an API from the server's network

Set an environment's proxy to Server so requests originate from the server and can reach services only it can see.

  • Run requests on a schedule

Use scripts written in JavaScript as cron jobs or call them through the API to run requests and tests.

  • Move collections in from Postman

Import collections from OpenAPI or Postman, and export requests to other languages and frameworks.

Yaade vs Alternatives

Postman
Upstream wrote Yaade as a self-hosted Postman alternative for sharing collections among teammates. Self-hosted Yaade keeps collections and tokens on your own Cloud VPS, with its own multi-user accounts.
Hoppscotch
Hoppscotch has its own OneClick page as another open-source API client. Upstream built Yaade from the ground up for self-hosting, with its own user accounts and permissions for sharing collections.
A shared folder of exported requests
Passing exported request files around has no accounts, permissions or live sync. Yaade keeps one set of collections on a server with users and permissions.
Command-line tools like curl
curl runs requests from a terminal. Yaade keeps the same requests in shared collections with a web interface, environments and Markdown documentation.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Can you self-host Yaade with Docker?

Yes. Upstream's install is a docker run with a data volume, and this template is Yaade Docker hosting already assembled: the official image pinned by digest, one yaade_data volume, a generated admin and HTTPS. It is your own Yaade cloud API client, with no database to run.

How much RAM does Yaade need?

Yaade lists 512 MB of memory, 1 vCPU and 2 GB of disk; idle use in QA was about 300 MiB, because it is a Java application. We start at 6 GB here. Raise YAADE_HEAP_SIZE if large collections run it out of memory.

Is Yaade free?

Yes, MIT-licensed with no software fee. The only bill is the Cloud VPS, cancellable any time. Collections and users stay in a volume that you control, not with a vendor. Requests and tokens you save never leave your own server.

How is Yaade different from Postman?

Upstream describes it as a self-hosted Postman alternative where API collections are shared between teammates, with authentication and storage on your own server instead of a vendor cloud. Check that the features your team relies on exist before moving over.

How do I sign in to Yaade the first time?

Use the admin username and the Initial Admin Password from the installation credentials, then change the password under the gear icon, Account. The credentials card keeps showing the original value, so rely on the password you set in the app from then on.

Can anyone register on my Yaade?

No. Registration is closed and only the admin can create accounts, under the gear icon, Users, Local. Every account the admin creates, and every password the admin resets, receives the same initial password until its owner changes it, so ask people to change it at once.

Who should I give a Yaade account to?

Only people you trust. Requests are sent from the server as well as the browser, so anyone with an account can make this server call any address it can reach, including internal ones. Treat an account as access to the server's private network.

How do I send requests from the Yaade server?

In a collection's Environments tab, create an environment and set its Proxy to Server. The default Extension proxy needs the Yaade browser extension, which upstream links for Chrome and Firefox. Server proxying avoids the extension but widens what accounts can reach.

How do I back up Yaade?

Back up the yaade_data volume, which holds the database, users, collections and uploaded request files. Stop the container for a consistent copy, and keep the admin details safe. Exported collections from the app are a second, portable copy you can keep elsewhere.

How do I upgrade Yaade?

Upstream has no version tags, so the template pins one build of the image by digest and installs stay on it until the template is updated. Back up yaade_data first, read upstream's notes, then adopt the newer template version and redeploy. Nothing upgrades automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
