ArangoDB Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy ArangoDB hosting and give your applications a graph, document and key-value database that speaks one query language. xCloud runs the pinned ArangoDB 3.12.4 container, generates the root password, publishes the web interface and HTTP API on an allocated server port and keeps your databases on persistent volumes.

What is ArangoDB?

ArangoDB is a multi-model database that stores graphs, JSON documents and key-value data in one server and queries them with a single language, AQL. It has ArangoSearch built in for indexing and ranked text search, plus a web interface and an HTTP API on the same port.

On xCloud it runs as one container on your own server. It is a data service: you reach it on the server IP and an allocated port with the root account, rather than on a domain with a sign-up page.

From Sign-Up to Your First Collection In Just 3 Easy Steps

An ArangoDB setup normally means a container, two data volumes, a root password and a published port before you can create a collection. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account, pick ArangoDB from the OneClick catalog and choose your target server. Leave the Root Password blank and xCloud generates a 32-character one for you.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official ArangoDB container, pinned by immutable digest, as a single service with nothing else to run beside it, enable server authentication, mount the arangodb_data and arangodb_apps volumes and publish the web interface and HTTP API on an allocated port of your server.

  3. Step 03

    Create Your First Database

Save the HTTP URL, host, port, username (root) and password from your installation credentials. Open the URL, sign in to the web interface as root, create a database and a least-privilege user for your application, then point your driver at the same host and port.

Everything ArangoDB Does, On Your Own Server

ArangoDB 3.12.4 runs in full here: a database you own, with its files on volumes you control.

  • Graphs, Documents And Key-Value

Keep native graphs, JSON documents and key-value pairs in the same server instead of running one database per data model.

  • One Query Language: AQL

Run simple CRUD, filters and aggregations, joins and graph traversals with the same AQL query language.

  • ArangoSearch

Use the built-in indexing and ranked full-text search without running a separate search engine.

  • Web Interface And HTTP API

People and applications use the same port: the web interface for browsing and querying, the HTTP API for drivers.

  • Authentication From First Boot

The root account is created with your generated password, and requests without a login or with a wrong password are rejected.

  • Persistent Storage

Databases, collections and documents live on named volumes and survive an xCloud Restart.

What You Can Do With ArangoDB

  • Model connected data

Store relationships as native graphs next to the documents they connect, and traverse them with AQL.

  • Back an application with JSON documents

Use document collections as the primary store for an app and connect through a driver or the HTTP API.

  • Add search without another service

Index and rank text with ArangoSearch inside the same database instead of running a separate search engine.

  • Combine models in one query

Join documents, filter and aggregate values and walk a graph in a single AQL query.

ArangoDB vs Alternatives

MongoDB
A document database; ArangoDB keeps documents too and adds native graphs and key-value data under the same query language.
Neo4j
A dedicated graph database with its own query language; ArangoDB covers graphs alongside documents and key-value data with AQL.
PostgreSQL
A relational database; ArangoDB stores JSON documents and graphs natively rather than as tables.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo Villa
Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What makes ArangoDB different from a document or graph database alone?

It combines graph, document and key-value models in one server with one query language (AQL), plus built-in ArangoSearch for full-text search and ranking.

How do I sign in?

Open the HTTP URL from your installation credentials and log in as root with the generated password. Applications connect to the same host and port.

Does it come with a domain and HTTPS?

No. ArangoDB is installed as a data service on the server IP and an allocated port over plain HTTP. Restrict that port with firewall rules, or add your own TLS-aware proxy if you need encryption in transit.

Is the endpoint safe to expose?

Authentication is on: requests without a login or with a wrong password are rejected with 401. Credentials still travel unencrypted over plain HTTP, so limit the port to trusted IPs or put a TLS-aware proxy in front for sensitive traffic.

Can I change the root password later?

Yes, but not through the install field. The root password is applied only when the data volume is first initialised, so changing it in the environment later does not rotate it. Change it from the web interface or with arangosh.

What runs alongside ArangoDB?

Nothing. It is a single container using the official ArangoDB image.

What should I back up?

Both volumes together: arangodb_data for the databases and arangodb_apps for application data. Keep them in sync and test a restore; arangodump and arangorestore give you a logical export alongside volume backups.

Should my applications use the root account?

No. Create a database and a dedicated user per application with only the privileges it needs, and keep root for administration.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update ArangoDB?

No. The template pins ArangoDB 3.12.4 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing installs are not automatically upgraded. Read the upstream release notes, back up both volumes, then change the readable tag and the image digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; idle use measured in QA was about 160 MB, and ArangoDB's cache grows with data, so 1 GB remains the floor. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, which leaves generous headroom above that baseline.

What licence is ArangoDB under?

ArangoDB 3.12 source is under the Business Source License 1.1, which is not an open-source licence and converts to Apache 2.0 four years after release. Its Additional Use Grant allows internal production use but not a commercial offering where third parties access, create or manage databases holding their own data. Read the licence before building a product on it.

Is xCloud officially partnered with ArangoDB?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the ArangoDB project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the ArangoDB database.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
