Huly is an open-source, all-in-one project management platform. A single workspace holds issue tracking, planning, documents, team chat and a CRM, so a small team does not have to stitch several tools together.

The upstream self-hosting guide deploys Huly with docker compose and notes that it is resource-heavy, recommending a server with 2 vCPUs and 4 GB of RAM. Huly is licensed under the Eclipse Public License 2.0.

How do I sign in the first time?

Open your Huly URL and sign up with an email and password. Creating the first workspace makes you its owner.

Can I stop strangers from creating accounts?

Yes. After your own account exists, set DISABLE_SIGNUP=true in the Environment editor and redeploy. New people then join through workspace invite links only. Basic Auth is not enabled by this template, so add access control at your reverse proxy if the site should not be public.

Does it send emails?

No email service is bundled. Accounts are confirmed automatically and invitations must be shared by hand. You can point MAIL_URL at a separately hosted Huly mail service.

What runs alongside Huly?

The stack runs 13 containers, including CockroachDB, Redpanda, MinIO and Elasticsearch. They are managed as one app and none is exposed publicly.

What is not included?

Video and audio calls, email, and the Google Calendar, GitHub and Telegram integrations are not included in this template.

What should I back up?

All five named volumes together, with the stack stopped. huly_cr_data (accounts and workspace data) and huly_files (uploaded files) hold the data you cannot rebuild; the huly_elastic search index can be rebuilt.

Why does the first start need internet access?

The first start downloads the Elasticsearch plugin and needs outbound HTTPS to artifacts.elastic.co.

What survives a restart?

Accounts, workspaces and issues. The QA run restarted all 13 containers and the issue was still there after a fresh login.

What happens if I change SECRET?

Keep SECRET stable. Changing it signs every user out.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Huly?

No. The template pins Huly v0.7.242 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites are not automatically upgraded. To upgrade, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Read Huly's release notes and migration guide first. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 16 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 6144 MB of RAM and 20 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 4.2 GiB of RAM across the stack. Because the manifest floor is above 4 GB, this page sells the 16 GB tier as the entry rung.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Huly?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Huly project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Huly project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
