Deploy Pønskelisten hosting and give your family and friends a private wishlist app on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Pønskelisten 2.4.0 image as a single container with its SQLite database, mounts persistent volumes for the database and uploaded pictures, and publishes the web interface over HTTPS in minutes — sign-up needs an invite code, so you decide who joins.
Pønskelisten is a self-hosted web app for creating, sharing and collaborating on wishlists without ruining the surprise. You add wishes to a list, share it with friends and family through groups, and others can see which gifts are already taken, avoiding the moment where two people buy the same present.
It is open source under GPL-3.0 and runs from a single container with a built-in SQLite database. This template deploys version 2.4.0.
Running a wishlist app yourself normally means a container, persistent storage, a domain and a certificate before the first wish is added. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Pønskelisten from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — the install form asks for nothing else.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Pønskelisten image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with its SQLite database, mount the poenskelisten_files and poenskelisten_images volumes, and publish the web interface over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Read the latest invite code from the app log over SSH, open your HTTPS Pønskelisten URL and register with it — the first account becomes the administrator. Then remove the generateinvite line in the Environment editor, redeploy and create your first wishlist.
Pønskelisten runs in full here: wishlists, groups and gift claiming on your own domain, with data kept in volumes you own.
Create wishlists and add wishes, organise them into categories, and sort or group them on a list.
Create groups to share wishlists with several people at once, so friends and family see what to buy.
Others can claim a wish: everyone else sees it is taken, while the list owner does not, so the surprise stays intact.
Share a wishlist by public link with people who do not have an account.
Registering needs an invite code, so you control who joins. Further invites are created in the admin panel.
Upstream supports password sign-in with optional authenticator-app MFA, or OpenID Connect single sign-on. Both are off by default and configured in the Environment editor.
Managed hosting for Pønskelisten, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Everyone keeps a list, shares it with the family group, and relatives claim items so nobody buys the same gift twice.
Add wishes as ideas come up, organise them into categories, and send relatives to one list instead of answering the same question repeatedly.
Send a public link to a wishlist so someone without an account can still see what to buy.
Hand out invite codes to the people you want, rather than putting your family's lists on a service you do not control.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Registration needs an invite code even for the first user. The app writes a new code to its log on each start; read the latest one over SSH with docker exec poenskelisten-<site name> grep "generated new invite code" /app/files/poenskelisten.log, register with it, and you become the administrator.
No. Registration needs an invite code, and wishlists need sign-in. A wishlist its owner shares by public link can be opened by anyone with that link. In QA a wrong invite code was rejected and API calls without sign-in returned 401.
With generateinvite=true the app mints a new invite code on every start and writes it to its log. Once the administrator account exists, remove that line in the Environment editor and redeploy; otherwise each start adds one more unused invite. Further invites are created in the admin panel.
No. Pønskelisten uses SQLite stored in the poenskelisten_files volume, so it runs as a single container with no private database service.
Both are supported upstream and off by default; set the optional smtp and OpenID Connect values in the Environment editor. They were not exercised in QA, so test them on your own install. Without e-mail configured, accounts are verified automatically.
Both volumes: poenskelisten_files (database, config and log) and poenskelisten_images (uploaded pictures). config.json in the files volume holds the login-session key and any SMTP or single sign-on secrets, so treat backups as sensitive; losing it signs everyone out.
Accounts, wishlists and wishes survived two restarts in QA, because the database and uploaded pictures live in persistent named volumes.
externalurl is the address people log in from and the base of every e-mail, sharing and single sign-on link. It follows the site's domain automatically, so do not replace it; list extra login addresses in additionalurls (comma separated, scheme and host only).
Anyone who can reach the URL sees the login page, but registering needs an invite code and wishlists need sign-in. You can optionally add Basic Auth at your reverse-proxy or access layer; this template does not enable it.
No. The template pins Pønskelisten 2.4.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 128 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 11 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung of the OneClick plan family, with ample headroom above that baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Pønskelisten project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Pønskelisten project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
