Deploy Wishlist hosting and run a self-hosted wishlist app that you share with friends and family, where others can claim items so nobody buys the same gift twice. xCloud starts the pinned image with SQLite and an uploads folder, and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain. Public signup is on by default and the first account becomes the administrator, so register straight away and then close signup.
Wishlist is a self-hosted wishlist application that you share with friends and family, released under the MIT licence. Upstream describes adding items to your list, claiming available items on other people's lists, checking off claimed items as purchased, fetching product data from a URL, multiple groups, a registry mode with a single list, email invitations, OAuth sign-in and PWA support. Self-hosted Wishlist is the option for people who would otherwise share lists through a hosted service such as Amazon Wish List or Giftster.
On xCloud the template runs ghcr.io/cmintey/wishlist v0.67.1, pinned by digest, as one container with a SQLite database on wishlist_data and uploaded images on wishlist_uploads. The first account you create becomes the administrator, and later signups get regular access until you turn signup off. Email invitations need SMTP settings that the template does not configure.
Self-hosting a wishlist app normally means a container, first-boot migrations, a domain and a certificate before anyone can add a gift. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Wishlist from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain — no extra fields are needed.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Wishlist 0.67.1 image, preset ORIGIN to your HTTPS URL, mount the persistent data and uploads volumes, and run the first-boot database migrations.
Step 03
Open the HTTPS Wishlist URL right away and create your account in the setup wizard — this first account becomes the administrator. Review the global settings, then create your first wish on My Wishes.
Wishlist runs in full here — the same gift-list and claiming tooling as any self-hosted install, on infrastructure you control.
Add items, and others claim them and mark them purchased, so gifts are not duplicated.
Wishlist fetches product details from a URL for you, or you can fill them in by hand.
Run separate groups, each with its own wishes, or switch a group to Registry mode for a single public list guests can claim from without an account.
Group members can add items to someone else's list as suggestions.
Turn off public signup in the administration settings and invite people instead — Wishlist generates a link to send yourself when SMTP is not configured.
Your lists, claims and uploaded item images survive an xCloud restart — confirmed in QA with the item, its price and its image all still present.
Managed hosting for Wishlist, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Post the things you would like, let relatives claim items, and avoid duplicate presents without telling anyone what you already own.
Create a group for the family and let each member keep a list, so everyone can see what is still unclaimed before shopping.
Use registry mode, a single list that upstream describes, for an occasion where guests claim items from one shared list.
Paste a product URL and let Wishlist fetch its details, then adjust the price or notes yourself before sharing it.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Wishlist is used to share gift ideas with the people who buy for you. You add items, manually or by pasting a product URL, family and friends see your list and claim items, and claimed items can be checked off as purchased. Groups keep lists for different circles of people separate.
Yes. Wishlist is open source under the MIT licence, and the app itself is free. Your xCloud bill covers the Cloud VPS and the deployment. Email delivery for invitations depends on an SMTP service that you supply and pay for yourself.
Yes. For Wishlist Docker hosting the template runs the ghcr.io/cmintey/wishlist v0.67.1 image, pinned by digest, as a single container using two named volumes, served over HTTPS on your domain. The ORIGIN setting is filled in from your domain for you, so generated links and secure cookies use the public address.
Wishlist's manifest floor is 512 MB of RAM, one core and 2 GB of disk. The 6 GB tier on this page is far above that. The first boot can take a few minutes while database migrations run, and the default maximum image upload is about 5 MB.
The first person to register. There is no seeded account, and the setup page is available while no account exists. Open your domain straight after install and create your account, which becomes the administrator. Later signups receive regular access, so do this before sharing the address with anyone else.
Yes, but you must do it. Public signup is on by default, so the instance is not private out of the box. After you create the administrator account, open the settings and turn off public signup or use invitations instead. You can also limit access with the ALLOWED_IPS setting or xCloud IP management.
Upstream lists inviting users by email, but it requires SMTP configuration. The template does not set up any mail server, so configure your own SMTP details before relying on invitations or password reset emails. Until then, share the registration link yourself or create accounts while signup is open.
Back up both volumes together: wishlist_data holds the SQLite database and application data, and wishlist_uploads holds uploaded images. Keep a consistent copy of both so records and pictures restore together. Store a copy off-server and test a restore before you rely on it.
Version v0.67.1 is fixed by digest, so a catalog change leaves a running site alone. Back up both volumes, read the upstream release notes, and select a later template version. If you ever change the domain, update ORIGIN to the new HTTPS address and redeploy.
Yes. Upstream's registry mode turns a group into a single list with a public link, and guests can view and claim items without an account by entering an identifier such as an email. Switch it on in the group's admin panel by changing the mode from Wishlist to Registry. Upstream notes that items claimed this way cannot currently be un-claimed.
Yes. Wishlist cloud use puts the app on a dedicated Cloud VPS with your domain and certificate attached, so relatives can reach it from anywhere. A server you pay another provider for can be attached as self-managed instead.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
