Deploy SyncLounge hosting and give your friends and family a private watch-together server for Plex on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned SyncLounge 5.2.35-ls179 container and publishes it over HTTPS in minutes. There are no credentials to generate, and the server only relays room and playback messages, so it stores no media and no Plex credentials. Each viewer signs in with their own Plex account.
SyncLounge, previously PlexTogether, is a tool to sync Plex content across multiple players in multiple locations. Upstream says it keeps viewing sessions in step whether the clients share a room or are across the globe, using a middle-man server to relay commands. The host has complete control of a room, and its play, pause and seek commands pass to everyone else. Self-hosted SyncLounge is the alternative to relying on a public relay server, under the MIT licence.
On xCloud it is SyncLounge 5.2.35-ls179, the LinuxServer image pinned by digest, as one container with no volumes. Rooms and connected users are kept in memory only, so a restart closes them. The app has no accounts or password: anyone who can open the address can sign in with their own Plex account, create a room or join one.
A self-hosted SyncLounge normally means a container, a reverse proxy, a domain and a certificate before the first room is created. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick SyncLounge from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the single SyncLounge container from the LinuxServer.io image, pinned by immutable digest, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain. There is no database and no volume, and it is usually ready in about 30 seconds.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS SyncLounge URL and choose Sign in with Plex. Create a room, or join one, then share it with friends who have their own Plex accounts.
SyncLounge runs in full here: a private room server for watching Plex together, on your own domain.
The host has complete control of a room. Play, pause and seek commands they send are passed through to everyone else in it.
Client polling interval, sync flexibility and the sync method (clean seek or skip ahead) can all be adjusted to your environment.
A player built specifically for syncing plays content directly within SyncLounge, and can be forced for all clients with FORCE_SLPLAYER.
Chat with the others in your room, lock a room with a password and invite people through a generated short link.
Find and search content on your Plex Media Servers from within SyncLounge, and let it search them for an equivalent copy when the host starts something different.
Rooms and connected users live in memory. There is no volume, no database and no media on the server.
Managed hosting for SyncLounge, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Each viewer plays from a Plex server they can reach while the room host's pause and seek commands carry across to everyone.
Host a relay server on your own domain instead of using a public one, and share the address only with the people you invite.
Adjust the client polling interval and the acceptable sync distance in milliseconds to suit slow or distant connections.
Use a server that only relays room and playback messages, with no media and no stored Plex logins.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes. Upstream publishes Docker images, and this template is SyncLounge Docker hosting already set up: the LinuxServer 5.2.35-ls179 image pinned by digest, no volumes and HTTPS. It is your own SyncLounge cloud room server, ready in about 30 seconds.
SyncLounge lists 256 MB of memory, 1 vCPU and 1 GB of storage; use in QA was about 34 MiB idle and 40 MiB after a sync round-trip. Our entry plan is 6 GB, far beyond what the app itself needs.
Yes, MIT-licensed with no software fee. The Cloud VPS is the single charge, cancellable any time. Each viewer still needs access to a Plex server in order to play media. Rooms live in memory only, so nothing persists to disk.
With your own Plex account from the sign-in page. SyncLounge has no accounts or password of its own, so there is nothing to generate at install. Whoever enters a room first becomes its host and controls play, pause and seek for the others.
Yes. SyncLounge syncs Plex content, so each viewer needs their own Plex account and access to a Plex server to play media. It does not host media itself, and it does not replace the Plex servers the viewers already use.
No. The server only relays room and playback messages between viewers; it does not store media or Plex credentials. Rooms and connected users are held in memory, so there is no database or volume to protect on this server.
Anyone who can open the address can sign in with their own Plex account and create a room, and whoever enters a room first becomes its host. To keep strangers out entirely, put HTTP Basic Authentication in front of the site, using xCloud's access controls.
Set AUTH_LIST in the Environment editor to a comma-separated list of Plex usernames, emails or machine ids. It is checked by the web page in the visitor's browser only, so it keeps honest users out but is not a hard access control.
Viewers' browsers contact their Plex players directly. Because your SyncLounge site is served over HTTPS, a browser may block a Plex server reachable only over plain HTTP. Use an HTTPS Plex address or allow mixed content in the browser for the site.
There is nothing on the server to back up, because the template has no volumes and keeps rooms in memory. Keep a copy of any optional environment values you set, such as AUTH_LIST, so you can redeploy with the same settings.
The install stays on pinned 5.2.35-ls179 until you adopt a newer template version. Consult upstream's release notes first; with no volume, the redeploy only closes open rooms for a few seconds. Existing sites are never upgraded automatically.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
