Deploy Youtarr hosting and keep your favourite YouTube channels flowing into a library you own. xCloud runs the pinned Youtarr v1.88.0 image with a private MariaDB database, generates the admin password and database credentials, mounts persistent volumes for videos, settings, jobs, thumbnails and the database, and publishes the web interface over HTTPS in minutes — login is required from the first request.
Youtarr is a self-hosted YouTube downloader that automatically downloads videos from your favourite channels and playlists. It uses yt-dlp under the hood, organises downloads by channel with metadata and thumbnails, and is managed through a responsive web interface.
Youtarr works standalone, with in-browser playback of downloaded videos, and can also feed Plex, Kodi, Jellyfin and Emby. It runs as two containers: the Youtarr application and a MariaDB database.
A Youtarr stack normally means an app container, a database, generated credentials, five volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first download. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Youtarr from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in, because xCloud generates the credentials.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Youtarr image and a private MariaDB 10.3 database kept off the public internet, both pinned by immutable digest, mount the youtarr_data, youtarr_config, youtarr_jobs, youtarr_images and youtarr_db volumes, generate the admin and database passwords, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the administrator password from the protected installation credentials, allow one to two minutes for the database to initialise, then open your HTTPS Youtarr URL and sign in as admin. Add your first channels and set the schedule and quality under Settings.
Youtarr runs in full here: channel tracking, scheduled downloads and a browsable library behind a login, backed by a database you own.
Subscribe to channels and Youtarr downloads their new videos, shorts and streams automatically, with per-tab controls.
Set a cron-based schedule and a quality from 360p to 4K, globally or per channel, and let new videos arrive without opening the app.
Open any thumbnail for extended metadata and stream the downloaded video in the web interface — no media server required.
Add a Plex server in Settings and Youtarr notifies it when new videos finish downloading, with metadata files written for Plex, Kodi, Jellyfin and Emby.
The web interface asks for the generated admin credentials before anything else; there is no open sign-up.
The bundled MariaDB database is reachable only inside the install's private network, with no published port.
Managed hosting for Youtarr, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Subscribe to the channels you follow and let new videos land in your library on a schedule, so a video that is later deleted or made private is already saved.
Stream downloaded videos from the browser-based library, or offline from your own server, without interruptions.
Add your Plex server in Settings and Youtarr notifies it when downloads finish, with channel folders you can map to separate libraries.
Group channels into custom subfolders such as kids, music or news to build separate libraries from the same downloader.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

A private MariaDB database that is not reachable from outside the server.
Not durably. The administrator is re-applied from the environment on every start, so an in-app change reverts at the next restart. Edit AUTH_PRESET_PASSWORD in the environment and redeploy instead.
YouTube may challenge requests from datacenter IP addresses. If downloads fail with a bot check, upload a cookies file under Settings. Only download content you are permitted to download.
Optionally. Add your Plex server in Settings and Youtarr notifies it when new videos finish downloading. Plex is not required; Youtarr also plays downloaded videos in the browser.
Login is required from the first request, but anyone who is signed in can read every downloaded video, so keep the password private.
All five volumes together — youtarr_data (videos), youtarr_config (settings, cookies, logs), youtarr_jobs, youtarr_images (thumbnails) and youtarr_db (database) — stopping the stack first, plus the environment values. Youtarr's in-app backup and restore are not available in this template.
Downloaded videos, settings, thumbnails and the database live on persistent named volumes and survived an xCloud Restart in QA.
The template's baseline asks for 20 GB of disk, but downloaded videos are stored on the server's disk and can grow quickly, so plan more disk for the channels you track.
On first start Youtarr waits for the database to initialise and applies migrations. Allow one to two minutes, then refresh if the page does not load yet.
No. The template pins Youtarr v1.88.0 and MariaDB 10.3 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 256 MB of RAM and 20 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 148 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, which leaves headroom for downloads and more disk than the baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Youtarr project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Youtarr project, licensed under ISC.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
