Yubal Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Yubal hosting and turn YouTube Music album and playlist links into a tagged, organised music library on your own server. xCloud runs the pinned Yubal 0.10.0 image behind a Caddy gateway that asks for a generated username and password on every request, keeps the Yubal container private, mounts persistent volumes for your library and settings and publishes the site over HTTPS in minutes.

What is Yubal?

Yubal is an open-source, MIT-licensed, self-hosted YouTube Music downloader. You paste an album, playlist or track link and it produces a clean, tagged music library: files in artist and album folders, synced lyrics, cover art and M3U files for playlists. It also has a web interface with a job queue, scheduled sync of subscribed playlists and a CLI.

Upstream's quick start publishes it on a local port with no authentication. On xCloud it runs on your own domain over HTTPS, behind a gateway that asks for a generated username and password, with the library and settings on persistent volumes.

From Sign-Up to Your First Download In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Yubal install normally means a container, a reverse proxy with authentication, two volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first album. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Yubal from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then keep the default username or change it — a strong password is generated for you.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Yubal image, pinned by immutable digest, behind a pinned Caddy 2.10.2 gateway that enforces HTTP Basic Authentication, keep Yubal itself off the public internet, mount the yubal_data and yubal_config volumes, and publish the gateway over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Download Your First Album

Save the password from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Yubal URL and enter the username and password when your browser asks. Then paste a YouTube Music album or playlist link to start your first download.

Everything Yubal Does, On Your Own Server

Yubal runs in full here: a web interface and API for downloading and organising YouTube Music, kept private behind a password on a server you control.

  • Albums, Playlists And Tracks

Paste any YouTube Music link and Yubal produces organised files in artist and album folders, with playlists written as M3U files that reference the tracks.

  • Scheduled Sync

Subscribe to playlists or albums and Yubal syncs them on a schedule so new tracks appear in your library. This install syncs daily at 00:00, in UTC unless you change the timezone.

  • Tags, Lyrics And ReplayGain

Downloads are tagged, get synced .lrc lyrics files where available and receive ReplayGain values for consistent volume across tracks.

  • Ready For Your Media Server

Upstream tests the library layout with Navidrome, Jellyfin and Gonic, so you can point a music server at it.

  • Optional Cookies For Private Content

Add a cookies.txt exported from a logged-in browser in the app settings to reach private playlists and age-restricted tracks.

  • Private By Default

Yubal has no sign-in of its own, so the gateway puts a generated username and password in front of the whole site, API included. Unauthenticated and wrong-password requests get 401.

Everything You Need To Run Your Music Library 24/7

Managed hosting for Yubal, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Yubal 0.10.0 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Password-protected gateway included
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Yubal

  • Build a personal music library

Paste album and playlist links and end up with organised, tagged files that you keep on your own server instead of a streaming catalogue.

  • Keep playlists in sync

Subscribe to a playlist or album and let the daily scheduled sync pull in new tracks without another visit to the page.

  • Feed Navidrome, Jellyfin or Plex

Point your media server at the downloaded library, with artists and playlists that link up in the servers upstream has tested.

  • Reach private playlists

Add a cookies.txt from a logged-in browser to download private playlists and age-restricted tracks that need an account.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Does Yubal have its own login?

No. Yubal has no sign-in of its own. xCloud puts an HTTP Basic Authentication gateway in front of the whole site, web interface and API, and your browser asks for the username and password you set at install.

How do I sign in?

Open your HTTPS Yubal URL and enter the username and generated password from the protected installation credentials when your browser asks. You can rotate them in the site's Environment editor and Restart.

What does the scheduled sync do?

It syncs all your subscriptions daily at 00:00, in UTC unless you change the YUBAL_TZ timezone setting.

Can it download private playlists?

Yes, by adding a cookies.txt exported from a logged-in browser in the app settings. Upstream warns that using cookies may trigger stricter rate limiting and could put your account at risk.

Which media servers does it work with?

Upstream tests the library with Navidrome, Jellyfin and Gonic. Jellyfin needs "Use non-standard artists tags" enabled in the library settings for multi-artist linking.

Who can use my Yubal site?

Anyone with the gateway password can queue downloads, change subscriptions, read logs and manage cookies, so keep it private.

What runs alongside Yubal?

A Caddy 2.10.2 gateway container that enforces the password. The Yubal container itself is internal only and not published.

What should I back up?

Both volumes: yubal_data holds the music library, and yubal_config holds the database, cache and cookies.

What survives a restart?

Your library, subscriptions and settings. In QA a subscription and the downloaded files were still there after both containers were restarted, because they live on persistent named volumes.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Yubal?

No. The template pins Yubal 0.10.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 120 MB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom for downloads and a growing library.

What content can I download?

Only download content you have the right to keep. Upstream notes Yubal is for personal archiving and asks you to comply with YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable copyright laws.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Yubal?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Yubal project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Yubal project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
