Deploy Checkrr hosting and find corrupt media before you press play, with a self-hosted media file checker running on a server you control. xCloud runs the pinned Checkrr 3.6.1 image behind a Caddy gateway that enforces a username and a generated password on every route, publishes it over HTTPS in minutes, and gives you an empty media volume to copy your library into.
Self-hosted Checkrr is a media file checker for libraries that scans for corrupt files and, optionally, asks Sonarr and Radarr to replace them. Upstream's README says it runs checks on the path you configure, including ffprobe, magic number and mimetype, and a file hash on later runs so large libraries scan quickly, recording passing files in an embedded flat-file database. It is licensed under the MIT licence.
On xCloud the template runs docker.io/aetaric/checkrr 3.6.1, pinned by digest, as one container with no database service, behind a Caddy gateway that adds HTTP Basic Authentication, because Checkrr has no login of its own. The checkrr_data volume holds the config and database, and checkrr_media starts empty. Re-acquire through Sonarr, Radarr or Lidarr is off by default, so Checkrr only reads your media.
A Checkrr setup normally means a container, a config file, a media volume, a login in front of an app that has none, a domain and a certificate before the first scan. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Checkrr from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, and set the admin username (it defaults to admin); a strong password is generated for you.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the community Checkrr image, pinned by immutable digest, behind a Caddy gateway that enforces HTTP Basic Authentication, mount the checkrr_data and checkrr_media volumes, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS Checkrr URL and sign in with the username and password from the installation credentials. The media volume starts empty, so copy your library into /media over SSH, then start a scan from the dashboard or wait for the daily schedule.
Checkrr runs in full here: a media library scanner with a web dashboard on your own domain, with its config and scan history kept on persistent storage.
Scans a media library with ffprobe, and optionally ffmpeg, and reports corrupt or unrecognised video and audio files.
Shows scan progress, statistics and the list of bad files, so you can see what a scan found without reading logs.
Can ask Sonarr, Radarr or Lidarr to fetch a replacement for a bad file. It is off by default and the apps must be configured and reachable by address and port.
Scans /media once a day, at midnight UTC by default, and you can set the time zone the schedule uses.
Checkrr has no login of its own, so a gateway enforces HTTP Basic Authentication on every route; requests without credentials or with a wrong password get a 401.
The config file, scan database and bad-file CSV live on the checkrr_data volume, and your library on checkrr_media, so both survive an xCloud Restart.
Managed hosting for Checkrr, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A collector who has moved a library between servers and filesystems scans it on a schedule to find files that fail ffprobe or other checks, then reads the bad-file list in the dashboard.
An owner of a large library runs Checkrr daily, relying on stored hashes so later scans skip files that already passed and finish far faster than the first one.
A user who also runs Sonarr, Radarr or Lidarr connects them in the config file so a bad file can be re-requested, knowing that path is off by default and you must set it up.
An admin runs Checkrr in report-only mode, using the web dashboard and the bad-file list to decide for themselves which files to replace by hand.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Checkrr itself only reads media and never deletes it. Upstream says a failed file can be removed and re-requested through Sonarr or Radarr, but that re-acquire path is off by default in this template and you must configure it yourself. Report-only use is possible.
Yes, and this template does it for you: the aetaric/checkrr 3.6.1 image, pinned by digest, plus a Caddy gateway for the sign-in, with two volumes behind HTTPS. It is Checkrr Docker hosting with no database service and no compose file to write.
Checkrr is small: 256 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 2 GB of disk are enough for the app, and the 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here covers a Checkrr cloud server. Disk is set by the library you copy into the media volume.
Yes, upstream connects to Sonarr and Radarr, and Lidarr too, to remove and re-request a failed file. They are separate applications that are not part of this template, so Checkrr must be able to reach yours, with path mappings set in the config file.
Checkrr cannot upload files, and the media volume starts empty. Copy your library in over SSH, for example with docker cp into the container's media folder, then start a scan from the dashboard or wait for the daily schedule at midnight.
Checkrr has no accounts of its own, so this template puts a Caddy gateway with HTTP Basic Authentication in front of the dashboard and API. The username and a generated password are set at install and shown in your credentials panel.
Checkrr reads no environment variables. Everything is in the checkrr.yaml config on the data volume, which is never overwritten after first boot. Edit it with docker exec and restart the container; TZ in the Environment editor sets the schedule's time zone.
Take a backup of the checkrr_data volume for the config and scan history, and checkrr_media for the library you copied in. The database is an embedded flat file, so there is no separate database dump to take. Test a restore before you rely on it.
Updates are deliberate. The image is pinned to 3.6.1 by digest and a catalogue re-sync affects new installs only. Back up checkrr_data, read the upstream release notes, then adopt a newer template version once one is published and run a test scan.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
