What is Dashbrr?

Self-hosted Dashbrr is a self-hosted media dashboard for the arr stack. Its README calls it a sleek, modern dashboard for monitoring and managing your media stack services, with real-time service health monitoring, service-specific data, live updates over Server-Sent Events, draggable cards and a PWA. It supports services such as Plex, Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Autobrr and Tailscale, with built-in authentication or OpenID Connect. It stands in for a hand-built status page, and is licensed under the GPL 2.

On xCloud the template runs the Dashbrr v0.7.0 container pinned by immutable digest, with its data on the dashbrr_data volume and HTTPS on your domain. There is no default account: the first visitor registers the only account and registration then closes. The template adds no Basic Authentication, and Dashbrr stores the API keys you enter for your services.

How much RAM does Dashbrr need?

The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 128 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk as a floor, because Dashbrr is a small Go service with a built-in cache. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here is far above that, so it sits comfortably beside other apps.

Is Dashbrr free and open source?

Yes. Dashbrr is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2, per the LICENSE file at the v0.7.0 tag, so the project is free to run. xCloud charges for the Cloud VPS underneath, and your configuration stays on the dashbrr_data volume.

Can you run Dashbrr with Docker?

Yes, and this is Dashbrr Docker hosting prepared for you. Upstream documents Docker and binary installs; the template runs the Dashbrr v0.7.0 container with dashbrr_data mounted and HTTPS in front on your domain, so you write no compose file and set no database connection.

Which services does Dashbrr monitor?

Per its README, Plex, Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Readarr, Whisparr, Bazarr, Prowlarr, Overseerr, Maintainerr, Autobrr, SABnzbd, NZBGet, Qui and Tailscale. You add each with its URL and API key after signing in. Dashbrr's requests come from this server, so each service must be reachable from it.

Does Dashbrr support OpenID Connect?

Yes, as an option. The README lists OIDC alongside built-in authentication, but it needs the DASHBRR__OIDC_ variables set yourself, and setting them replaces the built-in login with your provider. Do not set them unless you intend that, and test sign-in before closing the old route.

How do I create the Dashbrr account?

There is no default account. Open the site straight after install and register: the first visitor creates the only account and registration then closes for everyone else. Until you do, anyone who finds the URL could claim it, so do not share the address first.

Does Dashbrr add its own access protection?

Only its own built-in login, or OIDC if you configure it. The template does not enable Basic Authentication or any gateway control. You can add xCloud Basic Authentication or IP management yourself, and rate limiting may see the proxy address rather than each visitor's.

What should I back up on a Dashbrr server?

A backup is the dashbrr_data volume, which holds the SQLite database with your account and the services you added, including the API keys Dashbrr stores for them. Treat the copy as sensitive, keep it off the server and test a restore.

Nothing updates it for you: the template pins v0.7.0 by immutable digest. Read the upstream release notes, back up dashbrr_data, then adopt a newer template version when one is published, and check each service card still reports.

Is this Dashbrr cloud hosting?

This is your own status board on a dedicated Cloud VPS from xCloud, not a hosted monitoring service. The container, the volume and the single account belong to your install, and the dashboard is served over HTTPS on your domain.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
