Deploy Lightweight Music Server hosting and stream your own music collection from a web player on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned LMS 3.81.0 image with its built-in SQLite database behind a Caddy Basic Auth gateway, keeps your library and data on two persistent volumes and publishes it over HTTPS in minutes. You copy your music in yourself, and mobile apps connect with API keys.
LMS, the Lightweight Music Server, is self-hosted music streaming software: you access your music collection from anywhere through a web interface. It supports the Subsonic and OpenSubsonic API, multi-valued tags, a recommendation engine, multiple libraries, playlists, podcasts, transcoding and ListenBrainz and Last.fm scrobbling. Run on your own server it is a self-hosted Lightweight Music Server, an alternative to a streaming subscription such as Spotify or Tidal for music you own, and the code is GPL-3.0 licensed.
On xCloud it is LMS 3.81.0, pinned by digest, behind a Caddy Basic Auth gateway that stops strangers claiming the first-run page. The gateway and the LMS administrator are separate logins. The /rest/ OpenSubsonic API bypasses the gateway and accepts API keys only. There is no browser upload, so you copy music into the container, and there is no jukebox.
A Lightweight Music Server setup normally means the server, a gateway so nobody claims the setup page, two volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first song. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Lightweight Music Server from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain and server and set the gateway username; the password is generated for you.
Step 02
One click. We start epoupon/lms 3.81.0 and a Caddy gateway, both pinned by digest, mount lms_data and lms_music and publish it over HTTPS. The first start creates the database and can take up to a minute.
Step 03
Pass the gateway, then choose the LMS administrator on its setup page. Copy music into the container's /music folder as an admin on the server, add /music under Media libraries and run a scan.
Lightweight Music Server 3.81.0 runs here with its web player and OpenSubsonic API, on volumes you own.
Stream your collection from a web interface with playlists, podcasts, recommendations and multi-valued tags.
Mobile and desktop clients connect to the same URL. This build accepts OpenSubsonic API keys only, generated in Settings.
ListenBrainz and Last.fm scrobbling are available if a user configures them.
A Caddy Basic Auth gateway protects the web interface and first-run page. The /rest/ API bypasses it and uses LMS accounts.
A server admin copies music into the /music folder of the container, then scans it from the admin menu.
Users, playlists and history sit on lms_data and your music on lms_music. Rescanning rebuilds the index.
Managed hosting for Lightweight Music Server, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Play the library you own from a browser or an OpenSubsonic mobile app.
Keep and play your own files on a server you control.
Create accounts for other listeners under Users, each with their own playlists.
Keep podcast subscriptions in the same player as your music.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is Lightweight Music Server Docker hosting without the setup: the official epoupon/lms 3.81.0 image and a Caddy gateway, both pinned by digest, with two named volumes and HTTPS on your own domain.
Lightweight Music Server asks for 512 MB of memory, one core and 10 GB of storage; scanning and similarity analysis add temporary load that grows with library size. The 6 GB tier is where this page begins.
Your browser first asks for the gateway username and password from the credentials. LMS then shows its own setup page, where you choose the LMS administrator username and password and sign in with that account.
There is no browser upload. A server admin copies files into the /music folder of the container, which is the lms_music volume. Then add /music under Media libraries in the admin menu and start a scan. Correct tags help.
Yes, OpenSubsonic clients connect to your domain's /rest path. This build accepts OpenSubsonic API keys only, so generate a key under Settings, Subsonic API and use it as the password. Username and password or token auth is not accepted.
The gateway login stops strangers from claiming LMS's first-run setup page, and it stays in front of the web interface. The LMS administrator and listeners are separate accounts managed inside LMS. The /rest/ API bypasses the gateway.
Yes. LMS is GPL-3.0 licensed, with no fee for the software itself. Your spend is the dedicated Cloud VPS holding your music, which makes it a Lightweight Music Server cloud of your own, with no per-listener charge for extra accounts.
Back up lms_data, which holds users, playlists, play history and the covers cache, with the container stopped, and lms_music for your files. The library index can be rebuilt by rescanning. Nothing schedules this, so run it yourself.
The 3.81.0 image is pinned by digest, so a newer LMS appears only after you adopt a newer template version. Copy lms_data beforehand and skim the upstream release notes. A redeploy keeps both volumes, so playlists and music survive.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
