Llana hosting on xCloud gives you a REST API over your own PostgreSQL tables without writing endpoints. xCloud runs the official Llana v1.32.0 image next to a private PostgreSQL 17 database, creates the administrator from the email you enter with a generated password, keeps the data on a persistent volume and publishes the API over HTTPS on your domain in minutes.
Llana is an open-source API wrapper for databases. Upstream describes it as a lightweight layer that exposes a REST API for a database within minutes, so you stop writing endpoints by hand and start working with your data. It is free to use and released under BSD-4-Clause.
On xCloud, Llana wraps a PostgreSQL 17 database that is deployed beside it. You add tables to that database, and Llana serves them behind JWT or API-key login with role-based permissions and an OpenAPI schema generated from the tables.
A database API normally means an application container, a database, JWT keys, a first user, a volume, a domain and a certificate before the first request. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Llana from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then enter the email for the administrator login.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Llana image, pinned by immutable digest, beside a private PostgreSQL 17 database kept off the public internet, mount the llana_db volume, generate the administrator password, database credentials and JWT keys, and publish the API over HTTPS on your domain. Allow about 2 minutes for the first start.
Step 03
Send POST /auth/login with your administrator email as "username" and the password from the installation credentials. Use the returned access token as a Bearer token to create or read records on your own tables; table requests use a trailing slash, such as /notes/.
Llana runs in full here: a REST API over a database you own, with login and roles in front of it.
Add tables to the bundled PostgreSQL database and Llana serves them as REST endpoints, with no endpoint code to write.
Sign in with POST /auth/login for a JWT, or send an API key from the UserApiKey table in the x-api-key header. Wrong passwords and unauthenticated requests are rejected with 401.
The ADMIN role can read, write and delete; the USER role can read. Add more users as rows in the User table.
The schema for your tables is served at /openapi.json, ready to load into any OpenAPI viewer or client generator.
The template describes Llana as an instant REST API and live websockets over a SQL database, so the same tables can feed real-time clients.
The bundled database has no published port and keeps its data, including your tables and users, on the llana_db volume.
Managed hosting for Llana, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Create the tables your app needs and call them over REST straight away, instead of building a backend before you can test the front end.
Give an internal dashboard or script an authenticated API over a PostgreSQL table, with USER access for read-only consumers and ADMIN for the people who edit.
Let workflow tools and services read and write records over HTTP using an API key in the x-api-key header, without exposing the database itself.
Use the OpenAPI schema at /openapi.json to load your tables into an API viewer or a client generator.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

POST /auth/login with the administrator email as "username" and the generated password, then send the returned access token as a Bearer token. The email is the one you entered at install; the password is in the protected installation credentials.
A private PostgreSQL 17 database that Llana wraps. It has no host port and is reachable only inside the install's private network.
Create tables in the bundled PostgreSQL database; Llana serves them as REST endpoints. Requests for tables use a trailing slash, for example /notes/, and a table created after boot returned a 500 in QA on its first call without one.
Use the OpenAPI schema at /openapi.json. The Redoc page at the site root loads its viewer from a CDN and currently renders blank, so open the schema in any OpenAPI viewer instead.
No. Unauthenticated requests to your tables are rejected with 401. The page at / and /openapi.json are readable without login and list your table and column names; set SKIP_DOCS=true in the environment editor to hide them.
ADMIN can read, write and delete; USER can read. Add more users as rows in the User table, or API keys in the UserApiKey table, which are sent in the x-api-key header.
Not from the environment editor. The administrator and database credentials are applied only when the database is first created, so editing them afterwards does not change the login or rotate the running database.
Everyone is signed out. JWT_KEY and JWT_REFRESH_KEY sign login tokens, so keep them private and change them only when you intend to end all sessions.
The llana_db volume, which holds the PostgreSQL data including your tables and users, and the stable values in the environment editor. Keep the generated password and JWT keys private.
No. The template pins Llana v1.32.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 195 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.
Data on the llana_db volume. In QA a record created through the API was still returned after both containers were restarted, because the database lives on a persistent named volume. Allow about 2 minutes after a start, since Llana compiles its sources each time it starts.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Llana project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Llana project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
