Mydia Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Mydia hosting and run your own movie and TV library manager on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Mydia 0.16.0 official image as a single container with its built-in SQLite database and ffmpeg, generates the administrator password, mounts persistent volumes for config, data and media, and publishes the web interface over HTTPS in minutes.

What is Mydia?

Mydia is an open-source, self-hosted media management platform for tracking, organizing and monitoring your movies and TV shows. It is built with Phoenix LiveView, so the interface updates in real time, and it pulls metadata from TMDB and TVDB.

It can search your indexers, hand downloads to your download client and play media from the web or the Mydia player. Upstream marks Mydia as early development (0.x), so expect changes between releases. This template deploys version 0.16.0.

From Sign-Up to a Live Media Library In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Mydia server normally means a container, secrets, volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first movie is tracked. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Mydia from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Mydia container, pinned by immutable digest, with its database and ffmpeg built in, mount the mydia_config, mydia_data and mydia_media volumes, generate the administrator password and signing secrets, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Add A Library

Save the generated administrator password from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Mydia URL and sign in as admin. Change the password, add a download client and an indexer under Settings, then add a library path.

Everything Mydia Does, On Your Own Server

Mydia runs in full here: a web interface for tracking and playing your movies and TV shows, on your own domain, with the library on volumes you own.

  • Movies And TV In One Place

Track and organize a movie and TV library from a single web interface, with TMDB and TVDB metadata.

  • Download Clients And Indexers

Connect a download client such as qBittorrent, Transmission, SABnzbd or NZBGet and an indexer such as Prowlarr or Jackett under Settings.

  • Release Ranking And Upgrades

Search ranks releases by your quality profile and languages, and an upgrade must beat your current file by the profile's margin before it replaces it.

  • Play In The Browser Or The Player

Play media from the browser at /player, or use the Mydia player apps for Android, iOS, macOS, Windows and Linux.

  • Multi-User With Roles

Admin and guest roles with a request workflow, plus optional OpenID Connect sign-in that you enable in the environment file.

  • Scan Existing Files

Scan existing files in the library path and import them as library items.

Everything You Need To Run Your Media Library 24/7

Managed hosting for Mydia, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Mydia 0.16.0 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Administrator password generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Mydia

  • Run one library for movies and TV

Keep a personal movie and TV collection in one web interface instead of tracking each in a separate tool.

  • Import files you already have

Point Mydia at an existing library path, scan it and bring the files in as library items.

  • Automate the search for releases

Connect a download client and an indexer, then let monitored search pick the release that fits your quality profile and languages.

  • Share the library with others

Give family or friends guest accounts and let them request titles through the request workflow.

  • Watch from any device

Stream from the browser at /player or from the Mydia player apps over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Use admin and the generated password shown in the protected installation credentials. The first-run setup page is closed, so nobody else can claim the site. Change the password after you first sign in.

What does Mydia need to download media?

A download client (for example qBittorrent) and an indexer or Prowlarr, added under Settings. Mydia does not download anything itself, and the download client must be able to reach the same files under /media.

What runs alongside Mydia?

Nothing. Mydia ships its database, job queue and ffmpeg in one container, so there is no separate database to run.

What should I back up?

The three volumes: mydia_config (database, settings, identity), mydia_data (application data) and mydia_media (media library and downloads). Stop the container before snapshotting mydia_config for a consistent SQLite copy, and keep the generated values in the environment file.

What survives a restart?

The database, settings, client and indexer connections, library paths and imported items survived an xCloud Restart in QA, because they live on persistent named volumes.

Can I change the generated secrets?

Leave them as they are. Changing the signing secrets signs every user out and invalidates stored API tokens.

Is Mydia stable?

Mydia is 0.x software, so expect upstream changes between releases. This template deploys 0.16.0.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Mydia?

No. The template pins Mydia 0.16.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 274 MiB, and you should allow 1 GB or more while transcoding. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline and room for a media library.

Does Mydia need extra firewall ports?

No. Only the web interface is published, through xCloud-managed HTTPS. Mydia contacts its metadata relay and public-IP detection services, and the Mydia player uses peer-to-peer connections, all outbound only.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Mydia?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Mydia project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Mydia project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
