onWatch Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy onWatch hosting and watch your AI provider quotas from one dashboard on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned onWatch 2.14.11 container on a dedicated server, generates the admin password and metrics token, mounts a persistent data volume and publishes the dashboard over HTTPS in minutes — your usage history stays in an embedded SQLite database on your server.

What is onWatch?

onWatch is a free, open-source dashboard for monitoring AI API and coding-plan quotas. It fills the gap between the current usage snapshot your provider shows and the historical, per-cycle, cross-session view developers need: reset-cycle detection, usage rate and projections, per-session tracking and a combined view across providers.

It is a single Go binary that stores its history in SQLite and serves a web dashboard with dark and light modes. Upstream describes it as zero-telemetry, with all data kept in a local SQLite file; the only outbound calls are to the provider quota APIs you configure.

From Sign-Up to a Live Dashboard In Just 3 Easy Steps

Running onWatch yourself normally means a container, a reverse proxy, a certificate, a data volume and a password you have to invent. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick onWatch from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official onWatch container, pinned by immutable digest, mount the onwatch_data volume for the database, API integration data and logs, generate the admin password and metrics token, and publish the dashboard over HTTPS on your domain. There are no other services.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Add Provider Keys

Save the admin password and metrics token from the installation credentials, open your HTTPS onWatch URL and sign in as admin. The dashboard starts empty: add provider keys such as OPENROUTER_API_KEY or ZAI_API_KEY in the environment editor and redeploy, and onWatch starts polling.

Everything onWatch Does, On Your Own Server

onWatch runs in full here: a login-protected quota dashboard for your AI providers, with its own database and a metrics endpoint for your monitoring stack.

  • Many Providers, One Dashboard

Upstream tracks Synthetic, Z.ai, Anthropic, Codex, GitHub Copilot, MiniMax, OpenRouter and more, with a side-by-side view of every configured provider.

  • Usage History And Forecasts

Quota cards show usage against the limit with a countdown to reset, a time-series chart from one hour to 30 days, and burn-rate insights.

  • Alerts On Your Terms

Beta upstream: email via SMTP, browser push and webhook notifications can fire when a quota crosses a warning or critical threshold.

  • Prometheus Metrics

A /metrics endpoint for Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager (Beta upstream), protected by the generated bearer token — it returns 401 without it.

  • Login On Every Page

Every page except sign-in requires a login and there is no public sign-up. The upstream default password was verified to be rejected on this template.

  • A Single Container

onWatch is one Go binary with embedded SQLite, so there is no database or sidecar service to run, patch or secure.

Everything You Need To Run Your AI Usage Dashboard 24/7

Managed hosting for onWatch, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • onWatch 2.14.11 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Admin password and metrics token generated
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With onWatch

  • Stay ahead of rate limits

See how fast a coding-plan quota is burning and when it resets, so you can pace work before you hit throttling.

  • Watch several providers at once

Put the quotas of every configured provider on one screen instead of opening each provider's own usage page.

  • Share visibility across a small team

Run one instance behind HTTPS and a login so people sharing API keys can all see consumption in the same place.

  • Feed usage into your monitoring stack

Scrape the token-protected /metrics endpoint from Prometheus and graph or alert on quota use alongside your other services.

onWatch vs Alternatives

Your provider's own usage page
Shows the current quota usage; onWatch adds historical trends, reset-cycle detection and a unified view across providers, according to upstream.
Grafana with Prometheus
A general monitoring stack that onWatch can feed through its /metrics endpoint; onWatch itself provides the provider-specific quota dashboard.
onWatch on your own machine
Upstream also ships a binary, Homebrew formula and desktop menubar companion for running it locally; hosting it on a server keeps one always-on instance reachable at an HTTPS address.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Use the username admin and the generated password shown in the installation credentials. There is no public sign-up, and every page except the sign-in page requires a login.

Which providers does onWatch track?

Upstream lists Synthetic, Z.ai, Anthropic, Codex, GitHub Copilot, MiniMax, OpenRouter, Cursor and others. Add the provider's key or token in the environment editor and redeploy so onWatch starts polling it.

Why is the dashboard empty after install?

onWatch needs at least one provider key or token before it has anything to show. Add a key such as ZAI_API_KEY or OPENROUTER_API_KEY in the environment editor and redeploy.

Can it read my local Claude Code or Codex credentials?

No. Providers that read credentials from a local home directory, such as ~/.claude or ~/.codex, cannot work inside a container. Use the provider's API key or token variables instead.

Is /metrics public?

No. It returns 401 without the bearer token shown in the installation credentials. Prometheus metrics are a Beta feature upstream.

What runs alongside onWatch?

Nothing. onWatch is a single container with an embedded SQLite database, so there is no separate database or sidecar service.

Does onWatch need internet access?

Yes, outbound. It polls the provider quota APIs you configure, so the server must be able to reach them.

What happens if I change the admin password?

The generated password is used on first start only. Once you change it in Settings, the stored password wins and editing the value in the environment file has no effect.

What should I back up?

The onwatch_data volume, as one unit: it holds the database, API integration data and logs. Provider keys sit in the environment file, so limit who can view it.

What survives a restart?

Dashboard settings and history on the onwatch_data volume, which is a persistent named volume; they survived an xCloud Restart in QA.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update onWatch?

No. The template pins onWatch 2.14.11 by immutable digest and the in-app updater is not used; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 128 MB of RAM and 1 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 7 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung of the OneClick plans, which leaves large headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with onWatch?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the onWatch project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source onWatch project, licensed under GPL-3.0.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
