PsiTransfer Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Share files from infrastructure you control instead of a third-party transfer service that expires your data on someone else's schedule. xCloud configures the pinned PsiTransfer 2.4.4 image, a persistent transfer-data volume, generated upload and administrator passwords and the HTTPS reverse proxy in minutes, ready for you to send the first file yourself.

From Sign-Up To A Live Transfer Link In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting a password-gated file-transfer service normally means a container, a volume, a domain and a certificate before a single file moves. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick PsiTransfer from the OneClick catalog. Enter a site title and choose a domain — there are no other fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official PsiTransfer 2.4.4 image, pinned by immutable digest, generate an upload password and an administrator password, mount the persistent transfer-data volume, and publish PsiTransfer over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Send Your First Transfer

Open your HTTPS URL and authenticate with the generated upload password. Add files, choose a retention window, and set that transfer's own download password before sharing the link and password through separate channels.

Everything PsiTransfer Does, On Your Own Server

PsiTransfer runs in full here — controlled uploads, password-protected downloads and retention policies, on infrastructure you control.

  • Controlled Upload Access

A generated upload password gates who can create a new transfer on your server.

  • Password-Protected Downloads

Every transfer carries its own separate download password, set by the uploader — xCloud never generates or applies it for you.

  • Retention Windows

Choose how long a transfer stays available, up to this template's 75-day cap, so temporary files expire on an intentional schedule.

  • Persistent Transfer Storage

Uploaded file chunks and transfer metadata live together on a dedicated persistent volume that survives an xCloud Restart.

  • Administration View

Sign in to /admin with the generated administrator password to inspect or remove retained transfers before their retention window ends.

  • Managed HTTPS, Your Data

xCloud-managed nginx, DNS and HTTPS front the service; the transfer data and passwords stay yours to manage.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is PsiTransfer?

PsiTransfer is a free, open-source, self-hosted file-transfer service — a generated password gates new uploads, every transfer carries its own separate download password, retention windows control how long transfers stay available, and an administration view manages what's retained. This template deploys version 2.4.4.

Is PsiTransfer free?

Yes — it is free and open source under the BSD-2-Clause license. What you pay xCloud for is the dedicated server it runs on and the management around it, not the application itself.

Can I self-host PsiTransfer?

Yes — that is exactly what this template deploys. It brings up the official PsiTransfer image pinned by immutable digest, generates an upload password and an administrator password, mounts the persistent transfer-data volume and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain in minutes instead of assembled by hand.

How do I sign in and start a transfer?

Open your HTTPS URL and authenticate with the upload password xCloud generated for you — it's in your installation credentials. Add files, choose a retention window, and set that transfer's own download password before sharing the link.

Does every transfer need its own password?

Yes. The upload password only controls who can create a new transfer — it does not protect any transfer's download link. This template requires every transfer to carry its own separate download password, which the uploader sets at upload time. xCloud never generates or sets that password for you.

What happens when a transfer expires?

It is removed once it passes the retention window chosen at upload, or in any case once it reaches this template's 75-day overall retention cap — whichever comes first — or when it's deleted early from the administration page.

How do I remove a transfer early?

Sign in to /admin with the generated administrator password and remove any retained transfer before its retention window ends.

What are the file and storage limits?

This template caps individual files at 2 GiB and each transfer bucket at 10 GiB, with overall retention capped at 75 days. Actual usable capacity still depends on your server's available disk, file sizes, retention choices and concurrent transfers, so monitor it as usage grows.

What should I back up?

psitransfer_data, which holds uploaded file chunks and transfer metadata together as one consistency unit. Back it up before rotating the generated upload or administrator password, and before updating the pinned image.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update PsiTransfer?

No. The template pins PsiTransfer by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Review PsiTransfer release notes, back up psitransfer_data, update the image deliberately, then verify upload, password-protected download and administration access before relying on the new version.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 512 MB of RAM, one CPU core and 10 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 6 GB tier, comfortable headroom above that floor — actual disk demand still grows with the file sizes, retention windows and concurrent transfers you allow, so keep an eye on it.

What survives a restart?

Everything on psitransfer_data, because it is a persistent named volume. Restarting the container does not touch retained transfers, their metadata, or your generated upload and administrator passwords.

Is xCloud officially partnered with PsiTransfer?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the PsiTransfer project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source PsiTransfer project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
