Deploy bewCloud hosting and run a self-hosted personal cloud for files, notes, photos, news, expenses, contacts and calendar on your own domain. xCloud starts the pinned app beside PostgreSQL and a bundled Radicale server for CalDAV and CardDAV, generates the database password and secrets and publishes it over HTTPS. Open the signup page before anyone else, because the first account becomes the admin.
bewCloud is a self-hosted personal cloud for files, notes, photos, news, expenses, contacts and calendar, built with Deno and released under AGPL-3.0. Upstream also maintains a desktop sync app and a mobile app, and contacts and calendar use a Radicale CalDAV and CardDAV server. Self-hosted bewCloud is the option for people who would otherwise keep their files and calendars with a service such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
On xCloud the template runs ghcr.io/bewcloud/bewcloud v4.16.0, PostgreSQL 18 and tomsquest/docker-radicale, all pinned by digest, with three volumes for user files, the database and the calendar collections. There is no seeded password: the first person to open /signup becomes the admin, after which public signup is rejected. The first start runs database migrations and can take a couple of minutes.
A bewCloud stack normally means a web container, a PostgreSQL database, a CalDAV/CardDAV server, generated secrets, volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first upload. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick bewCloud from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up bewCloud with a private PostgreSQL 18.6 database and a private Radicale 3.7.6.0 CalDAV/CardDAV server, none of them published to the host, mount the bewcloud_files, bewcloud_db and bewcloud_radicale volumes, generate the database credentials, JWT secret and password salt, and publish the app over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Once the first boot and its database migrations finish, open https://your-domain/signup and create your account — the first user becomes the admin and public signup closes right after. Then upload a first file or point a phone or desktop client at /caldav and /carddav.
bewCloud runs in full here: its apps, a DAV server for your clients and a database you own, all behind HTTPS on your domain.
Store files and write notes in one place, kept on the bewcloud_files volume and reachable over WebDAV at /dav as well as in the browser.
Radicale serves CalDAV at /caldav and CardDAV at /carddav, with /.well-known redirects for auto-discovery, using the same email and password as the web app.
Upstream also ships photos, an RSS news reader and expense tracking, and lets you choose which apps are enabled through core.enabledApps.
The first signup becomes admin; afterwards the server rejects new signups, so strangers cannot create accounts on your install.
Both sidecars have no host ports and are reachable only on the site's private network; Radicale also runs with no-new-privileges and a reduced capability set.
Upstream supports MFA, OIDC single sign-on and SMTP; the template provides them as commented .env keys that need the matching upstream config flags.
Managed hosting for bewCloud, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Store and sync files on a Cloud VPS you control, uploading through the browser in chunks, instead of keeping them with a large consumer provider.
Point your phone at your domain's CalDAV and CardDAV addresses so appointments and contacts sync from the bundled Radicale server rather than a vendor account.
Keep notes, photos, news and expenses in a single self-hosted app with one login, instead of several separate services.
Run a lightweight personal cloud that used only about 110 MB at idle in QA, leaving room on the same server for other apps.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

bewCloud is used as a personal cloud: you store and sync files, keep notes, browse photos, read news feeds, track expenses, and keep contacts and a calendar in one place. Calendar and contacts sync to phones and desktop apps over CalDAV and CardDAV through a bundled Radicale server.
Yes. bewCloud is open source under AGPL-3.0, and upstream shows how to run it on your own server. The desktop sync app and mobile app live in separate upstream repositories. What you pay xCloud is the price of the Cloud VPS and its deployment.
Yes. For bewCloud Docker hosting the template runs the bewcloud v4.16.0 image, PostgreSQL 18 and a bundled Radicale container, all pinned by digest, with three named volumes and HTTPS on your domain. It generates the database password, session secret and password salt, and runs the migrations on first start.
The template manifest asks for 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk, and measured use was about 110 MB idle and 175 MB at peak across all three containers. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here is far above that. Disk grows with files and calendar collections.
The first person to sign up. There is no seeded password, and upstream notes the first signup works and becomes an admin even with signups disabled. Open your domain's /signup page straight after the install, before anyone else; afterwards public signup is rejected. A visitor who registers first would otherwise become the admin.
Yes. Calendar and contacts talk to a bundled Radicale CalDAV and CardDAV server through your site, with clients using your domain's /caldav and /carddav addresses, or the .well-known redirects. Sign in with your bewCloud account. The collections are stored on the bewcloud_radicale volume.
The default maximum upload is 100 MB per file, set in the app's configuration, and the platform proxy allows 100 MB too. The in-browser client sends files in 10 MB chunks. The site URL, cookie proxy behaviour and DAV URLs are generated from your domain at deploy time, so in-app edits to them do not persist.
A bewCloud backup covers three volumes together: bewcloud_files holds user files, bewcloud_db holds accounts, notes and app data in PostgreSQL, and bewcloud_radicale holds the calendar and contact collections. Stop the stack before copying so Postgres is consistent, keep copies off-server and test a restore.
The three images stay on v4.16.0, PostgreSQL 18 and Radicale 3.7.6.0 until you act. Save all three volumes, read the upstream release notes, then select a later template version. Missing database migrations run at the next start, which can take a couple of minutes.
Be careful. Changing JWT_SECRET and redeploying signs everyone out. Changing PASSWORD_SALT invalidates existing passwords, including the DAV basic-auth hashes. The Postgres password is read only on an empty volume, so change the database role inside Postgres first, then keep both password variables in sync.
Yes. bewCloud cloud hosting puts the app, its database and the calendar server on a dedicated Cloud VPS, with your domain and certificate attached. A server rented elsewhere can join as self-managed, and the same template deploys onto it from the dashboard.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
