Deploy Cloudreve hosting and run a self-hosted file sharing platform with a web file manager, share links, WebDAV, online preview and offline downloads on your own domain. xCloud starts the pinned Community edition with PostgreSQL, generates the database password and publishes the interface over HTTPS. There is no seeded administrator: the first account you register becomes the administrator, so register it straight away.
Cloudreve is a self-hosted file management and sharing platform, released under GPL-3.0 and written in Go with a React front end. Upstream lists storage on local disk, S3-compatible and other providers, WebDAV, share links with expiry, multiple users in groups, online preview and editing, and background downloads through aria2 or qBittorrent. Self-hosted Cloudreve is the option for people who would otherwise share files through a hosted drive such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
On xCloud the template runs cloudreve/cloudreve 4.19.1, the Community edition, with PostgreSQL 17.11, both pinned by digest, and two volumes for files with configuration and for the database. The web interface, API and WebDAV share one HTTPS address, with uploads up to 1 GB per request. The first registered account becomes the administrator, and aria2 peer ports are published publicly.
A Cloudreve stack normally means an application container, a PostgreSQL database, a generated password, two volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first upload. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Cloudreve from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Cloudreve image pinned by immutable digest with a private PostgreSQL 17 database that has no host port, mount the cloudreve_data and postgres_data volumes, generate the database password, and publish it over HTTPS. The first start runs the database migration and can take a minute or two.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS Cloudreve URL and register your account straight away: Cloudreve has no pre-made admin, so the first account becomes the administrator. Then set the Site URL to your domain in the admin dashboard and decide whether to keep registration open.
Cloudreve runs in full here: a file manager and sharing portal on your own domain, backed by a database and storage you own.
Share a file or a whole folder with a link, and let the link expire when you want it to.
Mount your files from desktop and mobile WebDAV clients, alongside the web interface and API on the same HTTPS address.
Preview video, images, audio and ePub files, and edit text, Markdown and Office documents, in the browser without downloading them first.
Run it for more than one person with user groups and per-account storage quotas set from the admin dashboard.
The bundled aria2 downloader fetches files to the server for you. Its BitTorrent peer ports (TCP and UDP) are published publicly, and incoming peer connectivity is limited.
Upstream describes Cloudreve as supporting multiple storage backends; this install keeps files on the cloudreve_data volume to start with.
Managed hosting for Cloudreve, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Create a share link with an expiry date for a file or folder, and let recipients download it from your own domain.
Connect a desktop or phone app to the WebDAV address and work with your Cloudreve files like a network drive.
Use the built-in offline download support, through aria2 or qBittorrent as upstream describes, to fetch files straight to your server.
Create user groups with their own quotas and let colleagues upload, preview and edit documents online, with PostgreSQL holding the metadata.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Cloudreve is used to store, manage and share files from a web interface. Users upload and organise files, preview or edit many file types online, create share links with an expiry date, mount storage over WebDAV and run background downloads. Administrators control storage, quotas and which user groups exist.
Yes. Cloudreve Community is open source under GPL-3.0, so there is no licence fee for this template's edition. xCloud bills for the dedicated Cloud VPS that runs the app and PostgreSQL and for the deployment around them. Third-party storage providers you attach, such as an S3 bucket, are billed by their own providers.
Yes. For Cloudreve Docker hosting the template runs the official cloudreve/cloudreve 4.19.1 image and a private PostgreSQL 17.11 container, both pinned by digest, with two named volumes and HTTPS on your domain. It generates the database password, so you do not write the compose file or configure the database yourself.
Cloudreve's manifest floor is 256 MB of RAM, one core and 10 GB of disk. The 6 GB plan offered here is well above the memory floor. The first start runs the database migration and can take a minute or two. Disk is what grows, because the default local storage policy keeps uploads on the server.
Yes. Upstream lists WebDAV covering all storage providers, and the template serves it at /dav on the same HTTPS address as the web interface. Mount it from a desktop file manager or an app that speaks WebDAV, using your Cloudreve account. Uploads up to 1 GB per request are allowed through the proxy.
The first account registered. There is no seeded administrator, and registration stays open until the administrator turns it off in the dashboard. Register your own account straight after install, before anyone else finds the address, then set the Site URL in the admin settings and close registration if the site should be private.
The web interface, API and WebDAV share the HTTPS address through the platform proxy. For offline downloads, the template also publishes aria2's BitTorrent peer port on TCP and UDP directly on the server. xCloud opens no firewall, so open those two ports yourself if you want incoming peers.
Back up both volumes: cloudreve_data holds conf.ini with the session secret and the uploaded files of the default local storage policy, and postgres_data holds users, folders, shares and settings. Losing cloudreve_data removes the uploads and signs every user out. Keep copies off-server and test a restore.
Version 4.19.1 and PostgreSQL 17.11 are fixed by digest, so a catalog change leaves running sites alone. Back up both volumes, read the Cloudreve release notes, and select a later template version. The database migration runs when the new image starts, which can take a minute or two.
Yes, with one step. The Site URL is seeded once from the install domain, stored in the database and does not follow later domain changes, so update it in the admin dashboard settings. Mail, storage policies and quotas are also set in the dashboard and kept in PostgreSQL.
Yes. Cloudreve cloud use puts the app and its database on a dedicated Cloud VPS with your domain and certificate attached. Another provider's VPS can be attached as self-managed to host this template too.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
