Deploy Quickwit hosting and give your team a password-protected log and trace search node on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Quickwit 0.9.0 image behind an authentication proxy, generates the administrator password, mounts a persistent volume for the indexes and metastore, and publishes the UI and REST API over HTTPS in minutes — every route answers 401 until you sign in.
Quickwit is an open-source, cloud-native search engine for logs and traces. You define an index, send it JSON documents and search them through the built-in web UI or the REST API.
This template runs Quickwit as a single standalone node with a file-backed metastore, which suits development, proofs of concept and small log-search setups. It is not a highly available cluster, and it is licensed under Apache License 2.0.
A Quickwit node worth exposing normally means a container, an authentication layer, a data volume, a domain and a certificate before the first document is indexed. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Quickwit from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and server, keep or change the username, and tick the resource acknowledgement. The password is generated for you.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Quickwit image, pinned by immutable digest, kept private to the stack behind a Caddy authentication proxy, mount the quickwit_data volume for the metastore, index splits, ingest queues and cache, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the credentials shown after install and sign in at your HTTPS URL. Create an index with an explicit schema, then send NDJSON documents to the ingest API with the same credentials and search them from the UI or the REST API.
Quickwit runs in full here as one standalone node: search, ingest and index administration, all behind a single authentication boundary.
Search logs and traces from Quickwit's built-in web UI or through its REST API on your own domain.
Send newline-delimited JSON documents to the ingest API using the same credentials as the UI.
The UI, search, ingest, index-admin and diagnostic routes all sit behind the proxy; unauthenticated and wrong-password requests get 401.
Create indexes whose fields you define up front, then ingest into them and search by those fields.
The file-backed metastore, index splits, ingest queues and local cache live on the quickwit_data volume and survived an xCloud Restart in QA.
Only the authentication proxy is published; the Quickwit container itself is not exposed to the host.
Managed hosting for Quickwit, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Ship NDJSON log lines to an index and search them from the web UI without standing up a larger logging stack.
Hold trace data in an index you own and query it through the REST API when you are debugging a request.
Try Quickwit's schema and query model on a real dataset on a single node, then decide whether it fits before committing to more.
Run one password-protected node on your own domain where ingestion clients and people share the same credentials.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.
Karl FanegaHow Advanced Web Strategies Saved Over $2,000 & Recovered 56 Hours per Month Managing 70+ Client Websites
Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

John ApertureI went from Cloudways to xCloud. No intention on switching in the foreseeable future.

Use the username and generated password shown in the installation credentials, in the browser or as HTTP Basic Auth from API clients over HTTPS.
No. It is one standalone node with one file-backed metastore writer, so do not scale it against the same volume. It is not a highly available deployment.
A small Caddy authentication proxy that guards every route. Only the proxy is published; the Quickwit container is private to the stack.
The UI, search, ingest, index-admin and diagnostic routes. In verification, requests with no credentials or the wrong password were rejected with 401.
No. Basic Auth is one shared administrator boundary with no per-index RBAC or multi-tenant isolation.
Create an index with an explicit schema, then post NDJSON documents to the ingest API over HTTPS using the same credentials as the UI.
Change them in xCloud Environment and redeploy, then update your ingestion clients at the same time.
The quickwit_data volume, plus the stable credential values. Back up with ingestion stopped and Quickwit stopped so the metastore, splits and queues are captured together.
No. The template pins Quickwit 0.9.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. To upgrade, read the release notes, test a restore, then bump the image tag and digest together. Downgrading means restoring the matching pre-upgrade snapshot. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 8192 MB of RAM and 120 GB of disk, upstream's single-node floor, and install requires an acknowledgement checkbox. Measured idle use on a tiny dataset was well under 100 MiB combined. This page sells the 16 GB tier because the manifest floor is above 4 GB; retained indexes need disk on top.
Data on the quickwit_data volume. In QA the index and a searchable test document were still present after an xCloud Restart.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Quickwit project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Quickwit project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
