SigNoz Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy SigNoz hosting and run an OpenTelemetry observability platform on your own server, with traces, metrics, logs, dashboards and alerts in one place. xCloud runs the pinned SigNoz community image v0.145.0 with an OpenTelemetry collector, ClickHouse and ClickHouse Keeper, generates the admin password, mounts three persistent volumes and publishes the UI and OTLP HTTP ingestion over HTTPS on your domains.

What is SigNoz?

SigNoz is an open-source observability platform built on OpenTelemetry. Upstream describes an alternative to fragmented monitoring stacks, with logs, metrics, traces, alerts and dashboards in one place, plus an APM overview of latency, error rate and throughput, a log explorer, PromQL and ClickHouse SQL queries, and Kubernetes monitoring. Self-hosted SigNoz is the alternative to a hosted observability service, and its community edition is MIT-licensed outside the enterprise directories.

On xCloud it is the community image v0.145.0 with OpenTelemetry collector v0.144.6, ClickHouse 25.12.5 and ClickHouse Keeper 25.12.5, all pinned by digest, on three volumes. Telemetry arrives over OTLP HTTP on its own HTTPS domain or OTLP gRPC on a plain TCP port. Both accept unauthenticated writes, so restrict them by source IP.

From Sign-Up to a Live SigNoz Install In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting an observability stack normally means a collector, ClickHouse, a domain and a certificate before a single trace can land. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Choose SigNoz from the xCloud OneClick catalog, select a domain, and enter the admin email. xCloud generates a strong admin password.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the pinned SigNoz 0.145.0 stack — UI/API, OpenTelemetry collector, ClickHouse and ClickHouse Keeper — and publish the UI and OTLP/HTTP endpoint over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Point A Collector At It

Allow 3 to 5 minutes for the first start, save the generated admin password, sign in, then point an OpenTelemetry SDK or Collector at the OTLP/HTTP domain or the OTLP/gRPC host:port.

Everything SigNoz Does, On Your Own Server

SigNoz runs in full here — the same OpenTelemetry observability tooling as any hosted APM, on infrastructure you control.

  • Traces, Metrics And Logs Over OTLP

Send OpenTelemetry traces, metrics and logs from any SDK or collector over OTLP/HTTP or OTLP/gRPC.

  • Dashboards, Service Maps And Alerts

Dashboards, service maps, alerts and a query builder in a single UI.

  • Data Stays On Your Server

Telemetry is stored in your own ClickHouse instance, not a hosted observability vendor.

  • Vendor Analytics Pinned Off

Usage analytics and stats reporting to the vendor are pinned off in this template.

  • Self-Registration Closed

The administrator is created at install, and self-registration is rejected.

  • Telemetry Survives A Restart

Accounts and telemetry live on three persistent volumes. In QA, all containers were restarted and the admin login, an ingested service and its trace were still present.

Everything You Need To Run Your Observability 24/7

Managed hosting for SigNoz, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • SigNoz 0.145.0 deployed instantly
  • OpenTelemetry collector, ClickHouse and Keeper included
  • Generated admin password
  • Dedicated OTLP/HTTP ingestion domain
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With SigNoz

  • Trace a slow request end to end

Follow a request across services with traces, then jump to the correlated logs and metrics for the same time window.

  • Replace a patchwork of monitoring tools

Keep logs, metrics, traces, dashboards and alerts in one OpenTelemetry-native place instead of separate systems.

  • Watch error rate and latency per service

Use the APM overview and service maps to see throughput, errors and slow endpoints for each service you instrument.

  • Keep telemetry on your own server

Store traces, metrics and logs in your own ClickHouse instead of sending them to a hosted vendor.

SigNoz vs Alternatives

Datadog and New Relic
Upstream's own share text calls SigNoz an open-source alternative to both hosted services. Self-hosted SigNoz keeps telemetry in ClickHouse on your Cloud VPS, with no data sent to its vendor in this template.
Grafana
Grafana has its own OneClick page and builds dashboards on data you already collect. SigNoz stores and queries traces, metrics and logs itself in ClickHouse, with APM views built in.
HyperDX
HyperDX has its own OneClick page as another ClickHouse-based observability platform with logs, traces, metrics and session replays. SigNoz is built around OpenTelemetry and an APM overview.
OpenObserve
OpenObserve has its own OneClick page as another observability platform for logs, metrics and traces. SigNoz stores telemetry in ClickHouse alongside ClickHouse Keeper in this template.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Can you self-host SigNoz with Docker?

Yes. Upstream documents Docker, Kubernetes and Linux installs, and this template is SigNoz Docker hosting with the pieces wired: the community image, collector, ClickHouse and Keeper pinned by digest, three volumes and HTTPS. It is your own SigNoz cloud, though the stack is heavy.

How much RAM does SigNoz need?

The template declares 4096 MB RAM, 2 cores and 20 GB storage, and upstream also asks for at least 4 GB. ClickHouse is the heavy part and disk grows with telemetry you send. This page starts at the 16 GB plan for headroom.

Is SigNoz free?

The community edition deployed here is free MIT-licensed software outside its enterprise directories, and the enterprise image is not used. Your cost is the larger Cloud VPS, and its disk grows with the telemetry you send.

Which ingestion protocols does SigNoz support?

OTLP over HTTP, served on its own HTTPS domain at /v1/traces, /v1/logs and /v1/metrics, and OTLP over gRPC, which is a plain TCP port with no TLS. Point your OpenTelemetry SDKs or collectors at either address listed with the installation credentials.

How do I sign in to SigNoz?

Use the admin email you entered and the generated password from the installation credentials. Both are reapplied from the environment on every start, so change them in the Environment editor and redeploy rather than in the UI. Self-registration is closed; invite teammates from settings.

Is SigNoz OTLP ingestion authenticated?

No. The community edition accepts unauthenticated writes on /v1/traces, /v1/logs, /v1/metrics and the gRPC port. Restrict them by source IP at your firewall or edge, especially the gRPC port, which is plain TCP without TLS and reachable from the internet. A flood of telemetry fills the disk.

Why does SigNoz say the license is not supported?

That message is expected in the community edition this template deploys; it is not an error to fix. It reflects features reserved for upstream's enterprise and cloud editions. Usage analytics and stats reporting are pinned off, so SigNoz sends no data to its vendor.

Is SigNoz an alternative to Datadog?

Upstream's share text calls it an open-source alternative to Datadog and New Relic. It covers logs, metrics, traces, alerts and dashboards, but check that the features you rely on exist in the community edition, since enterprise features are not included here.

How do I back up SigNoz?

Back up all three volumes together: signoz_data holds users, dashboards, alert rules and saved views, clickhouse_data holds traces, metrics and logs, and keeper_data holds ClickHouse Keeper state. Stop the stack for a consistent copy, and expect clickhouse_data to be large.

How do I upgrade SigNoz?

The install stays on pinned v0.145.0 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the volumes, inspect upstream's release notes, then redeploy and check sign-in, a dashboard and incoming data. Existing sites are never upgraded automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
