Rallly Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Rallly hosting and run group scheduling polls from a domain you own, with no meeting data at a third party. xCloud runs the pinned Rallly 4.12.3 image with PostgreSQL 15.14 and Garage 2.3.0, wires the SMTP details you enter because sign-in codes arrive by email, generates the session secret and storage credentials, mounts three volumes and publishes it over HTTPS.

What is Rallly?

Rallly is an open-source scheduling tool for finding the best date and time to meet. Upstream says you create a poll with a few options, share the link and let participants vote, with an availability grid, comments, notifications and a way to finalize the winning date. Participants need no account to vote. Self-hosted Rallly is the alternative to a hosted poll service, such as upstream's own hosted version, and it is licensed under AGPL-3.0.

On xCloud it is Rallly 4.12.3 with PostgreSQL 15.14 and Garage 2.3.0 object storage, each pinned by digest, on three volumes. Rallly signs people in with a six-digit code sent by email, so the SMTP details you enter at install must work, even for the first administrator, whose email you also enter. Only the app is published over HTTPS.

From Sign-Up to a Live Scheduling Tool In Just 3 Easy Steps

A scheduling stack normally means three containers, a database, object storage, SMTP, secrets, three volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first poll. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Rallly from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then set the Support email, Initial administrator email, SMTP host, SMTP port, SMTP transport security, SMTP username and SMTP password.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Rallly 4.12.3 image, pinned by immutable digest with pinned PostgreSQL 15.14 and Garage 2.3.0 on the private Compose network, mount the rallly_postgres_data, rallly_garage_meta and rallly_garage_data volumes, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Sign In By Email Code And Claim Admin

Open your domain, request a sign-in code for the administrator email you entered, enter the six-digit code from the email (valid for 15 minutes), then open /control-panel to claim the administrator role. Create a poll and invite participants.

Everything Rallly Does, On Your Own Server

Rallly runs in full here: polls, votes, participants, notifications by email and attachments in object storage, on infrastructure you control.

  • Find A Time That Works

Propose dates and times, let participants vote and see the best option at a glance.

  • Email Sign-In Codes

No passwords: users sign in with a six-digit code sent to their email through the SMTP you configure.

  • PostgreSQL And Garage Included

Users, polls and votes in PostgreSQL; uploads in S3-compatible Garage storage, neither published on the host.

  • Registration You Control

Self-registration is open by default; set REGISTRATION_ENABLED=false or ALLOWED_EMAILS once the admin is claimed.

  • TLS-Checked SMTP

Rallly validates SMTP certificates by default; STARTTLS on 587 suits most providers.

  • Three Volumes, One Boundary

PostgreSQL data, Garage metadata and Garage object data are backed up and restored together.

Everything You Need To Run Your Scheduling 24/7

Managed hosting for Rallly, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Rallly 4.12.3 deployed instantly
  • Official pinned image digest
  • Session secret and storage credentials generated
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx on port 3000
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots

What You Can Do With Rallly

  • Find a meeting time without email ping-pong

Propose several dates, share one link and let a team vote on when they are free, instead of chasing replies.

  • Let guests vote without signing up

Send the poll to people outside your organisation, who respond straight from the link with no account.

  • Settle a date and tell everyone

Pick the winning option, finalize it and notify participants, with comments on the poll for the details.

  • Keep scheduling data in house

Run polls for a club, school or company on your own server instead of a third-party scheduling service.

Rallly vs Alternatives

Hosted scheduling poll services
A hosted poll service, including upstream's own hosted Rallly, keeps polls and votes with a vendor. Self-hosted Rallly stores them in PostgreSQL on your own Cloud VPS.
Easy!Appointments
Easy!Appointments has its own OneClick page. Rallly is for group polls: you propose dates, participants vote with no account, and you finalize the winning option.
Cal.diy
Cal.diy has its own OneClick page. Rallly instead lets a group vote on several proposed dates in one availability grid.
Email back-and-forth
Upstream's pitch is no more back-and-forth emails. A Rallly poll collects everyone's availability in one grid, with comments in place of reply chains.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Can you self-host Rallly with Docker?

Yes. Upstream ships a Docker image and self-hosting docs, and this template is Rallly Docker hosting set up for you: the 4.12.3 image, PostgreSQL 15.14 and Garage 2.3.0 pinned by digest, three named volumes, your SMTP settings and HTTPS. It is your own Rallly cloud instance.

How much RAM does Rallly need?

Rallly declares 2048 MB RAM, a single core and 10 GB of disk for Rallly, PostgreSQL and Garage together. The 6 GB plan is the entry rung here, with headroom for the database and object storage beside the app.

Is Rallly free?

Yes, self-hosted Rallly is AGPL-3.0 open source with no fee. You pay xCloud for the Cloud VPS and your mail provider for any sending costs, cancellable whenever you like. Upstream also offers a hosted cloud version.

Do participants need an account to vote in Rallly?

No. Upstream says participants just open the poll link and respond, with no account needed to vote. Organisers who create polls sign in with an emailed six-digit code, so the SMTP details you gave at install must keep working for them.

Why does Rallly need SMTP?

Rallly signs users in with a six-digit verification code sent by email, so working SMTP is required even for the first administrator. Use port 587 with STARTTLS in most cases, and implicit TLS on 465 only when your provider requires it. A wrong password locks you out.

How do I stop strangers registering on Rallly?

Once you have claimed the administrator role at /control-panel, uncomment REGISTRATION_ENABLED=false or set ALLOWED_EMAILS in the environment and redeploy. Until then, anyone who can reach the site and receive an emailed code could register an account.

Why must SECRET_PASSWORD stay the same in Rallly?

It secures sessions, so changing it signs out every existing session. PostgreSQL and Garage credentials likewise initialise persistent state, so rotate them inside the service first and then update the environment; editing only the environment would break the connection.

How do I back up Rallly?

Back up all three volumes as one boundary: rallly_postgres_data holds users, polls, votes and configuration, while rallly_garage_meta and rallly_garage_data hold object storage. Pause writes and stop the services for a snapshot, or use PostgreSQL-native backups, and test a restore.

How do I upgrade Rallly?

The install stays on pinned 4.12.3 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the volumes, read the upstream release notes, then redeploy and check an emailed sign-in and a poll. Existing sites are never upgraded automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
