Deploy Rclone on xCloud and get Rclone hosting for a cloud storage web GUI that browses, copies and syncs files between providers from your browser, with no command line. xCloud runs the pinned official image, serves the GUI and the Rclone API on two HTTPS domains, protects the API with a generated password, and keeps your saved remotes and local files on persistent volumes.
Rclone is described upstream as rsync for cloud storage: a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from many cloud storage providers. A self-hosted Rclone web GUI puts a browser front end on it, so you can browse, copy and sync between remotes without typing commands, with the transfers running on the server. Upstream documents the GUI as beta, and Rclone is MIT licensed.
On xCloud the install runs Rclone 1.75.2 from the official image, pinned by digest, as one container. The GUI has no login of its own, so it talks to the Rclone API on a second domain that is protected by HTTP Basic auth and a generated password. Two volumes hold state: rclone_config for rclone.conf with your remotes' credentials, and rclone_data for local files.
Self-hosting Rclone's web GUI normally means two domains, a certificate and an API password before a single remote can be added. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Rclone from the OneClick catalog, choose a domain, and optionally set the API username (default rclone) — leave the password empty to generate one.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Rclone 1.75.2 image with the GUI as the primary domain and the Rclone API on a second domain, both over HTTPS.
Step 03
Reveal and copy the sign-in link from your protected installation credentials, open it so the GUI connects to the API, then add your first remote from the Config page.
Rclone's web GUI runs in full here: browser-based remote management, on infrastructure you control.
Browse, copy and sync files between cloud storage providers from the browser, with no command line needed.
Add remotes from the GUI's Config page, with the configuration saved in rclone.conf on the rclone_config volume.
Copies between remotes run on your Cloud VPS, not on the computer whose browser opened the GUI.
The GUI and the Rclone API each get their own HTTPS domain, with the API protected by a generated password.
Optional rclone settings — bandwidth limit, parallel transfers, config encryption — set from the Environment page.
Saved remotes and local files in /data survive an xCloud Restart.
Managed hosting for Rclone, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Move files from one provider to another from the browser, with the transfer running on the server instead of your own computer.
Add remotes on the Config page and browse their files in the GUI, instead of editing rclone.conf by hand and running commands over SSH.
Use copy or sync to make one location match another, such as a local directory under /data and a storage bucket.
Set a bandwidth limit, parallel transfers or config encryption in the Environment page, so a large copy does not use the whole link.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is Rclone Docker hosting without the setup: the official 1.75.2 image pinned by digest, one container serving the GUI and the API on two HTTPS domains, a generated API password, and two named volumes for configuration and data.
The template asks for 128 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk as a floor. The 6 GB plan is the entry rung here, which leaves room for many parallel transfers and for the local files you keep under /data.
The GUI's login form has no field for the API address, so open the sign-in link from the installation credentials. It connects the GUI to the API with the generated password. You need it again only on a new browser or after clearing site data.
The browser loads the GUI from one domain and calls the Rclone API on the other, so both must be reachable from the browser. Either can be changed later, but open the updated sign-in link from the credentials afterwards.
No. It contains the API password, and the GUI domain's web log and the container log record it. Do not share it, treat the logs as secret, and rotate the password from the Environment page if it leaks.
Whoever has it can read, change and delete every file Rclone can reach and read the remote credentials saved in rclone.conf. Rclone has no brute-force protection, so keep the password long and private, and consider limiting who can reach the API domain.
Back up the rclone_config volume, which holds rclone.conf with your cloud credentials, and the rclone_data volume, which holds local files at /data. Protect rclone.conf like a password file, or set RCLONE_CONFIG_PASS to encrypt it, and keep copies off the server.
Rclone 1.75.2 stays pinned until you adopt a newer template version. Copy both volumes first and read the upstream changelog. Existing sites are not upgraded by xCloud on their own, and after any change open the sign-in link again.
Yes. Per the COPYING file in its repository, Rclone is MIT licensed, so it carries no fee. Budget instead for the dedicated Cloud VPS, and for whatever each connected cloud provider charges for storage and transfers.
Upstream documents the web GUI as beta, so expect rough edges and keep scripted or critical jobs on the rclone command line. The template itself is checked for the sign-in flow and persistence, not for every provider rclone supports.
No separate service is involved. Rclone cloud hosting on this page just means the GUI and API run on a Cloud VPS that xCloud provisions, with your remotes configured on your own volume and the API password under your control.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
