Termix Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Termix hosting on xCloud lets you deploy Termix, a self-hosted server management platform with an SSH terminal, tunnels, a file manager and remote desktop sessions, on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned official image with one persistent volume, generates the session and encryption keys and publishes it over HTTPS. Termix has no default login: the first account you register becomes the administrator, so do that straight away.

  • No lock-in, cancel anytime

What is Termix?

Termix is a free, open-source, self-hosted server management platform, described upstream as plugin-based and as a free, self-hosted Termius. It keeps hosts in folders with tags, shares credentials, encrypts secrets per user and offers an SSH terminal with tabs and split screen, SSH tunnels, an SFTP file manager and in-browser Telnet, VNC and RDP sessions. A self-hosted Termix gives you a web SSH terminal on your own server. It is licensed Apache-2.0.

On xCloud it is Termix 26.10.2, the official image pinned by digest, as one container with its data in the termix_data volume. xCloud generates the session, database, encryption and internal tokens. There is no default login. Anyone you let sign in can open sessions from this server to any host it can reach, so only create accounts for people you trust.

From Sign-Up to a Live Terminal In Just 3 Easy Steps

A self-hosted SSH manager normally means a container, secret keys, a volume, a domain, a certificate and WebSocket proxying before the first connection. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Termix from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Termix image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with an embedded SQLite database, generate the session, database and encryption keys, mount the termix_data volume, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Register The Admin Account

Termix has no default login. Open your HTTPS URL right away and register the first account, which becomes the administrator. Then turn off user registration in Admin Settings and add your first host.

Everything Termix Does, On Your Own Server

Termix runs in full here: a browser-based server manager on your own domain, with its data on a volume you own.

  • Web SSH Terminal

Open SSH sessions from the browser, and use Quick Connect for one-off connections without saving a host.

  • Hosts In Folders And Tags

Save hosts in nested folders and tag them, so a long list of servers stays easy to find.

  • Reusable Credentials

Store passwords and keys once and reuse them across hosts instead of retyping them.

  • Sharing At Four Access Levels

Share hosts, credentials and folders with users or roles at four access levels.

  • Accounts, API Keys And Audit Log

Local accounts, session management, API keys and an audit log are built in.

  • Encrypted Secrets

Secrets are encrypted per user, and the database on disk is encrypted with keys generated at install.

Everything You Need To Run Your Server Manager 24/7

Managed hosting for Termix, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Termix 26.10.2 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Session and encryption keys generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Termix

  • Reach your servers from any browser

Open an SSH terminal to your hosts from a browser tab, with saved hosts and credentials, so you can fix a server from a machine with no SSH client.

  • Forward ports through SSH tunnels

Set up SSH port forwarding from the web interface, so a database or admin page on a private network is reachable without a separate VPN.

  • Move files with the file manager

Browse a server's files over SFTP and move them from the same window as the terminal, instead of switching to a separate transfer tool.

  • Share access with a team safely

Share saved credentials with users or roles at set permission levels, with secrets encrypted per user, so teammates connect without seeing each password.

Termix vs Alternatives

Termius
Upstream describes Termix as a free, self-hosted Termius. Termix runs on your own server, so saved hosts and credentials stay in your termix_data volume, not in a vendor's account.
Apache Guacamole
Apache Guacamole has its own OneClick page. In a Termix vs Guacamole comparison, Termix centres on SSH, with saved hosts, tunnels and an SFTP file manager beside its remote desktop sessions.
Sshwifty
Sshwifty has its own OneClick page. Termix keeps hosts in nested folders with tags and shared credentials, and adds tunnels, a file manager and Telnet, VNC and RDP sessions.
Warpgate
Warpgate has its own OneClick page. Termix is a browser terminal and server manager, and upstream lists Warpgate among the integrations the platform can work with.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How much RAM does Termix need?

The template floor is 256 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 2 GB of disk, because it is one container with an embedded database. The 6 GB plan leaves headroom above that floor.

Can you self-host Termix with Docker?

Yes, and this template is termix docker hosting without the setup: the official multi-architecture image pinned by digest, one termix_data volume, generated session and encryption keys and HTTPS on your own domain.

What can I connect to with Termix?

SSH terminals, SSH tunnels, an SFTP file manager and Telnet, VNC and RDP sessions, to any host this server can reach. Upstream also lists Docker and Podman management and other plugins, so check what your version includes.

Who becomes the administrator of Termix?

The first account registered. Termix has no default login, so open the site right after install and create your admin account. Then turn off user registration in Admin Settings, or set ALLOW_REGISTRATION to false after your admin exists.

Is my Termix server safe to leave public?

Only with care. Anyone can see the sign-in page, and signed-in users can open sessions from this server to any host it can reach and store credentials. Create accounts only for people you trust, and consider Basic Auth in front.

Is Termix an alternative to Termius?

Upstream describes it as a free, self-hosted Termius. It offers SSH, tunnels, a file manager and remote desktop sessions from the browser, and you run the server, the keys and the backups yourself.

Is Termix free?

Yes. Termix carries the Apache-2.0 licence at no charge. Your cost is the Cloud VPS, so this Termix cloud install keeps saved hosts and credentials on a server you control.

How do I back up Termix?

Back up the termix_data volume, which holds hosts, encrypted credentials and settings, and keep DATABASE_KEY and ENCRYPTION_KEY with it. Never change those two keys once credentials are saved, because the stored data becomes unreadable.

How do I upgrade Termix?

Termix stays on its pinned 26.10.2 image until a newer template version is adopted. Copy termix_data and the keys beforehand and check the release notes. Redeploying keeps the volume.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
