What is Tianji?

Tianji is a self-hosted, all-in-one insight hub that combines website analytics, uptime monitoring and server status. Upstream built it so page views and visitors no longer need GA or Umami beside a separate uptime monitor, and credits Umami and Uptime Kuma as inspiration; the template also lists surveys, event feeds and public status pages. A self-hosted Tianji is analytics and uptime monitoring on your own server, an alternative to Google Analytics. It is Apache-2.0 licensed.

On xCloud it is Tianji 1.32.33, the vendor image pinned by digest, with a private PostgreSQL 16 database in the tianji_postgres_data volume. A bootstrap step replaces Tianji's upstream default administrator password before the web service starts, and you sign in with the administrator username you chose and the generated password. Only the web interface and API are published, over HTTPS.

For Tianji the template asks 1024 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 10 GB of disk, for the app and PostgreSQL. The 6 GB plan is well above that; monitors and tracked sites raise real use.

Can you self-host Tianji with Docker?

Yes, and this template is tianji docker hosting without the setup: the vendor image and PostgreSQL 16 pinned by digest, one database volume, a generated administrator password and JWT secret and HTTPS on your own domain.

What does Tianji monitor?

Upstream covers website analytics, uptime monitoring of network quality and connectivity, and server status. The template also lists surveys, event feeds and public status pages. Some upstream items are roadmap entries, so check your version.

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
