What is Traggo?

Traggo is an open-source tag-based time tracker, tagged by its README as tag-based time tracking. Instead of a fixed project and task hierarchy, it records your time spans against flexible tags and turns them into list, calendar, dashboard and statistics views. A self-hosted Traggo is licensed GPL-3.0 and keeps all of its data in an embedded SQLite database, with no separate database service to run.

On xCloud the template runs Traggo 0.8.3 from the official image, pinned by digest, with users, tag definitions, time spans and dashboards in traggo.db on the traggo_data volume. A small BusyBox readiness container runs the health probe, because Traggo's image is built from scratch and has no shell; it publishes no port. The initial administrator is created only on the first start.

Is Traggo free?

Yes. Traggo is GPL-3.0 licensed with nothing to buy from the project. The Cloud VPS is the only cost, and a time-tracking database takes so little space that the server hosts other apps easily beside it.

How much RAM does Traggo need?

The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk. The app is a small Go service with SQLite, so the 6 GB plan is far more than it needs, which leaves room for other apps.

Can you self-host Traggo with Docker?

Yes, and this template is Traggo Docker hosting without the setup: the official traggo/server 0.8.3 image pinned by digest, embedded SQLite on the traggo_data volume, a read-only BusyBox readiness probe and HTTPS on your domain.

What is the readiness container in Traggo?

Traggo's official image is built from scratch and has no shell, curl or declared healthcheck, so a pinned BusyBox container performs the HTTP probe instead. It exposes no port, stores no state and exists only for the platform health check.

How do I sign in to Traggo the first time?

Use the initial administrator username and password from your credentials panel. You chose the username at install, admin by default, and either set a password of at least 12 characters or let xCloud generate a 24-character one.

Can I change the Traggo password in the environment?

No. The initial administrator is created only when Traggo first creates a new database, so editing the environment values later does not rotate the account. Change the password from Traggo's own user settings after you sign in.

Does Traggo support more than one user?

This template creates one initial administrator and does not configure SMTP or single sign-on. Any further accounts are something you would set up inside Traggo itself, so check its documentation before sharing one instance with a team.

How do I back up Traggo?

Back up the traggo_data volume, which holds traggo.db with users, tag definitions, time spans and dashboards. Stop the app first for a consistent SQLite copy. Traggo does not schedule its own backups, so add server backups or run your own, and keep a copy off the server.

How do I upgrade Traggo?

The install stays on Traggo 0.8.3 until you adopt a newer template version. Copy traggo_data first and read the upstream release notes. Nothing upgrades the app automatically, and a redeploy keeps the volume and your recorded time.

Is there a Traggo cloud service I can use?

This page is your own Traggo cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running the open-source tracker, with your time spans on a volume of your own. Nothing is shared with other tenants, and you control who has an account.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
