What is Tududi?

Tududi is a private, open-source task and project manager for organizing areas, projects, notes and daily work. Upstream describes a clear hierarchy, smart recurring tasks, subtasks and Telegram integration, with a philosophy of keeping your data private. A self-hosted Tududi is an alternative to a hosted to-do service such as Todoist, released under the MIT licence, with subtasks and Today, Upcoming and Someday views.

How do I sign in to Tududi?

Open the application URL and sign in with the administrator email you entered at install and the generated password shown in the credentials panel. You can change that password from inside Tududi after the first sign-in.

Does Tududi use a separate database?

No. Tududi keeps its SQLite database in the tududi_db volume inside the one container, distinct from the uploads volume. There is no second database service to run, secure or upgrade, which keeps the stack small.

Does Tududi support recurring tasks?

Yes. Upstream lists daily, weekly, monthly, monthly on a given weekday and last-day patterns, custom intervals and repeating from the completion date. Generated instances stay linked to the parent, which you can edit from any of them.

Does Tududi integrate with Telegram?

Upstream lists Telegram integration. This template configures no bot, so create one yourself and add its settings if you want it. Treat the bot token like a password, keep it out of screenshots and logs, and revoke it if it leaks.

Can you self-host Tududi with Docker?

Yes. Tududi ships an official image, and this template is Tududi Docker hosting with the plumbing done: the 1.4.1 image pinned by digest, two volumes, a generated login and HTTPS on your own domain, with no Compose file to maintain.

How much RAM does Tududi need?

The manifest floor is 1024 MB of RAM with one core and 10 GB of disk. A task manager is light, and the 6 GB plan leaves plenty of room for other apps on the same server.

Is Tududi open source?

Yes. Tududi is MIT licensed, so running it has no licence cost at all. You pay only for the Cloud VPS that serves it, which makes this a Tududi cloud of your own instead of a hosted task subscription.

Can I rotate the Tududi session secret?

Not casually. The generated session secret signs sessions, so rotating it signs everyone out. Keep it stable and stored with your backups, treat any change as planned maintenance, and expect every browser to sign in again afterwards.

How do I back up Tududi?

Back up tududi_db and tududi_uploads together. The database volume holds the SQLite database under /app/db, and the uploads volume holds files under /app/uploads. Nothing backs them up automatically, so copy them off the server and test a restore.

How do I upgrade Tududi?

The install stays on its pinned 1.4.1 image until you adopt a newer template version. Check the upstream release notes and copy both volumes beforehand, as versions can include migrations. Nothing upgrades automatically, and a redeploy keeps both volumes.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
