VictoriaMetrics hosting on xCloud lets you deploy VictoriaMetrics, an open-source monitoring solution and time-series database, as long-term storage for your metrics. xCloud runs the pinned single-node image with its data on a persistent volume and turns on HTTP Basic authentication with a username and generated password. It is a data service, reached on your server's IP and an allocated port over plain HTTP, so restrict that port with your firewall.
VictoriaMetrics is an open-source monitoring solution and time series database. It works as long-term storage for Prometheus and as a drop-in replacement for Prometheus and Graphite in Grafana, supports PromQL and its own MetricsQL, and ingests Prometheus remote write, InfluxDB line protocol, Graphite, OpenTSDB, DataDog and OpenTelemetry metrics. It runs as a single small binary with no dependencies. A self-hosted VictoriaMetrics is a metrics database of your own, an alternative to Grafana Cloud. It is Apache-2.0 licensed.
On xCloud it is VictoriaMetrics v1.152.0, the official single-node image pinned by digest, with data in the victoriametrics_data volume. It has no domain or TLS: you connect to the server IP and an allocated port. Every API and web interface request needs HTTP Basic authentication, while the health endpoints answer without credentials. Enterprise features are separately licensed and not included.
A VictoriaMetrics setup normally means a container, a data volume, an authentication layer and a published port before an agent can write to it. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick VictoriaMetrics from the OneClick catalog and choose your target server. Set the HTTP Auth username, which defaults to vmadmin, and leave the password blank to have one generated.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official VictoriaMetrics container, pinned by immutable digest, with no other service to run alongside it, mount the victoriametrics_data volume for your time series, apply HTTP Basic Auth to every API and UI request and publish the endpoint on an allocated port of your server.
Step 03
Save the username, password and HTTP endpoint from your installation credentials. Open the endpoint in a browser and sign in to reach the web interface, or check /-/ready for HTTP 200, then point Prometheus remote write, Grafana or your agent at it with the same credentials.
VictoriaMetrics single-node runs in full here: a metrics store you own, with its data on a volume you control.
Query with PromQL, or with VictoriaMetrics' own MetricsQL, which extends it, from the HTTP API or the built-in vmui web interface.
Accept Prometheus remote write, InfluxDB line protocol, JSON lines, CSV, DataDog, NewRelic and OpenTelemetry data on the one HTTP endpoint.
Use it as remote storage for Prometheus, so metrics outlive a single Prometheus server's local retention.
Add it to Grafana as a Prometheus-type data source with the endpoint URL and the Basic Auth credentials.
Write from several Prometheus instances or other sources into one place and query them together.
API and UI requests need the install-time username and password; only the health endpoints answer without credentials.
Managed hosting for VictoriaMetrics, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Send Prometheus remote-write data to VictoriaMetrics, so metrics outlive the short retention of the Prometheus that scrapes them and stay queryable.
Add the endpoint as a data source in Grafana, using the Basic Auth credentials, and build dashboards with PromQL or MetricsQL over your own data.
Accept InfluxDB line protocol, DataDog or OpenTelemetry metrics over HTTP alongside Prometheus, so mixed fleets report into one database.
Use instant snapshots to copy the data directory while the server keeps running, so a backup does not stop ingestion.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

The template minimum is 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk. Real needs depend on ingestion rate, retention and query workload, so watch memory and disk as you add sources, and pick a larger plan before you run out of room.
Yes, and this template is victoriametrics docker hosting without the setup: the official single-node image pinned by digest, a persistent storage volume and Basic authentication from install values. It is a data service on an allocated port, with no domain or certificate.
Yes. Upstream says it works as long-term storage for Prometheus and as a drop-in replacement for Prometheus and Graphite in Grafana, supporting PromQL and MetricsQL. Configure Grafana with the endpoint and Basic Auth credentials. Add the data source in Grafana by URL.
Upstream lists Prometheus remote write and scraping, InfluxDB line protocol, Graphite, OpenTSDB, JSON lines, CSV, DataDog, New Relic and OpenTelemetry metrics. Writers authenticate with the same Basic Auth credentials as readers. This install publishes only the HTTP port, so the separate Graphite and OpenTSDB listeners are not enabled.
It needs HTTP Basic authentication for the API and web interface, but the template has no domain or TLS, so traffic travels over plain HTTP on an allocated port. Restrict that port with your firewall and avoid sending the password over untrusted networks.
For storing metrics, yes, and it can also sit behind Prometheus as long-term storage. Upstream cites its own benchmarks against other systems, which are the project's claims. You run the server, disk sizing and backups yourself.
Yes. The single-node and cluster versions are Apache-2.0 licensed, while upstream sells a separate Enterprise edition with extras such as anomaly detection. Your cost is the Cloud VPS, so this VictoriaMetrics cloud install is yours alone.
Stop the service or otherwise quiesce writes before copying the victoriametrics_data volume, and keep an off-server copy. Upstream's instant snapshots can also capture a consistent copy while the server is running. Test a restore on a separate volume before relying on it.
The install stays on its pinned v1.152.0 image until you adopt a newer template version. Take a snapshot or volume copy first and read the upstream release notes. Nothing upgrades automatically, and redeploying keeps the storage volume.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
