Track accounts, transactions, monthly budgets and goals in a self-hosted budget app that runs on your own server. Budget Board is a personal finance tracker built as a self-hosted alternative to Mint. xCloud handles HTTPS, the PostgreSQL 16 database and persistent storage, so you only register your account and start budgeting.
A budget app with its own database, certificate and persistent storage takes a while to assemble by hand. This is the same result without the setup.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Budget Board from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain — there are no other fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Budget Board v3.8.2 client and server images and PostgreSQL 16, pinned by digest, mount the budget_board_postgres volume, generate the database credentials and publish the app over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS URL and register your account; first boot takes about a minute. Then set DISABLE_NEW_USERS=true and redeploy to close sign-ups, and add your accounts, transactions or a CSV import.
Budget Board covers accounts, budgets, transactions and goals in one self-hosted app, with your financial data kept in PostgreSQL on your xCloud server.
Track checking, savings and credit cards alongside property and other assets, with net-worth reporting.
Record and categorise spending, set per-category budgets and watch actuals against them month by month.
Bulk-import transactions from CSV, then let automatic rules on description, amount and date categorise them for you.
Set savings or debt-payoff goals and chart spending trends by date range, account and category.
Local username and password, with optional two-factor authentication or your own OIDC provider.
Add SimpleFIN or LunchFlow provider tokens in the app for automatic sync. Set up and priced by you, not verified in our QA.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Budget Board is a self-hosted personal finance app for tracking accounts, transactions, monthly budgets and financial goals. This template deploys version 3.8.2 on your own xCloud server, with PostgreSQL 16 for storage.
It was built as a self-hosted alternative to Mint, which has shut down. It covers accounts, assets, categorised transactions, monthly budgets, goals and trend charts in one interface, and the data stays in your own PostgreSQL database.
There is no default login. Open your HTTPS URL and register your account through the sign-up form. Then set DISABLE_NEW_USERS=true in the environment editor and redeploy so nobody else can register.
Yes, until you close it. Registration stays open while DISABLE_NEW_USERS=false, so anyone who reaches the URL can register an isolated user. Register first, then set DISABLE_NEW_USERS=true and redeploy.
No. Automatic sync through SimpleFIN or LunchFlow is optional. You add the provider tokens inside the app, and those providers are set up and priced separately from xCloud. These sync providers were not exercised in our QA, so test one before you rely on it. CSV import is the path verified in QA.
Yes. Budget Board supports bulk CSV transaction import. If you later add SimpleFIN or LunchFlow, sync runs every 8 hours by default, adjustable with SYNC_INTERVAL_HOURS.
Three containers: the nginx-served web client, the only one reachable through your domain; the .NET API server; and PostgreSQL 16. The API and database are reachable only inside the private container network.
The budget_board_postgres volume and the generated POSTGRES_* values from your environment. That volume holds users, accounts, budgets, transactions, goals and any bank-sync tokens. Use PostgreSQL-native tooling, keep an off-server copy, and never run docker compose down -v on an install you want to keep.
The template manifest asks for 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk as a floor. In QA, the three containers idled at about 191 MiB, or about 252 MiB after a full round-trip. This page sells the 6 GB tier for headroom as your transaction history grows.
In QA, all three services came back healthy within seconds after an xCloud restart. The registered account, institution, bank account, budgets and transaction were all still present, and the existing login session stayed valid.
Two QA caveats remain. The login session cookie is httponly and samesite=lax but lacks the Secure flag, because the upstream client's nginx overwrites the forwarded protocol; xCloud's HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect mitigates this, and the fix belongs upstream. The client also requests a translation file the upstream image does not ship, which causes a harmless 404 on each page load; the app still renders in English.
The template pins v3.8.2 and PostgreSQL 16 by digest, so nothing updates on its own. Back up PostgreSQL, read the upstream release notes, then bump the image tag and digest together. Migrations run automatically on API start while AUTO_UPDATE_DB=true.
English, German, French and Simplified Chinese, with localised date and number formats.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
