Deploy degoog hosting and run a self-hosted metasearch engine that combines results from the search engines you choose on a dedicated Cloud VPS. xCloud starts the pinned degoog 1.0.0 container with a generated settings password locking the admin area, keeps configuration and extensions on a persistent volume and serves the search page over HTTPS on your own domain, with no search engines preinstalled until you choose them.
degoog is a search aggregator that queries multiple engines and shows results in one place. You can add custom search engines, bang-command plugins, slot plugins that show panels beside results, and transports that decide how requests are fetched, such as curl or FlareSolverr. Run on your own server it is a self-hosted degoog metasearch engine, which upstream calls a more modular, lighter take on a search aggregator, under the AGPL-3.0 licence, with extensions you choose installing on top.
On xCloud it is one container, ghcr.io/degoog-org/degoog 1.0.0 pinned by digest, with the degoog_data volume holding configuration, settings, extensions and indexer data. A new instance ships without any search engines, so you install them from the admin Store. Search is open to visitors, while /admin is locked with the generated password.
A degoog install normally means the container, a settings password, a data directory with the right owner, a domain and a certificate before the first search. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick degoog from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain and a server; the install form has no application fields, because xCloud generates the settings password.
Step 02
One click. We start ghcr.io/degoog-org/degoog 1.0.0, pinned by digest, as one container, mount degoog_data, apply the generated settings password on every start and publish HTTPS on port 4444. The first start can take a minute.
Step 03
A new instance has no engines, so searches return nothing at first. Sign in at /admin with the settings password, open the Store, install engines such as DuckDuckGo or Wikipedia, and results appear on the next search.
degoog 1.0.0 runs here as a public search page with a locked admin area, with its configuration and extensions kept on a volume you own.
degoog queries multiple search engines and shows their results together, so one search covers the engines you enable.
Add custom search engines, bang-command plugins, and slot plugins that show panels above, below or beside results.
Choose how requests are fetched, with strategies such as curl or FlareSolverr, or your own, as upstream describes.
Instance settings and extensions are at /admin behind a generated settings password. Extensions run code on the server, so keep it private.
Anyone who reaches the domain can search. Only the settings and extension management are behind the password.
Upstream offers Valkey and PostgreSQL for busy public instances. Neither is configured here, which suits personal and low-traffic use.
Managed hosting for degoog, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Offer one search box on your own domain that merges the engines you chose, with no account needed for visitors.
Install engines from the Store, such as DuckDuckGo or Wikipedia, and add bang commands for sites you search often.
Use slot plugins to put query-triggered panels above, below or in the sidebar, for example a quick answer box.
Upstream ships an MCP companion for LLM clients. It is not configured here, so add and secure it yourself if you want it.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is degoog Docker hosting without the setup: the ghcr.io/degoog-org/degoog 1.0.0 image pinned by digest, one container, the degoog_data volume and an HTTPS route to port 4444. Upstream's compose examples also cover Valkey and PostgreSQL variants.
The template minimum is 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 2 GB of disk. Extension file uploads are accepted up to 25 MiB. A busy public instance would benefit from upstream's Valkey and PostgreSQL options. The entry plan handles it without strain.
A new instance ships without search engines, so searches return nothing at first. Sign in at /admin with the settings password, open the Store and install one or more engines, such as DuckDuckGo or Wikipedia. Results appear on the next search.
The template generates a settings password and applies it on every start, locking /admin and extension management. Extensions run code on the server, so an unlocked settings area on a public URL is dangerous. Rotate the password by editing DEGOOG_SETTINGS_PASSWORDS and redeploying.
Open /admin, sign in with the settings password, go to the Store and install the engines you want. You can also add custom engines, bang-command plugins and slot plugins as extensions, uploaded as files up to 25 MiB in this template.
Both aggregate search results. Upstream describes degoog as a modular aggregator with custom engines, plugins and transports. SearXNG is a separate project, available as its own OneClick app. This page makes no claim about result quality, so try both.
Yes. degoog is released under the AGPL-3.0, so using it costs nothing in software fees, and if you modify it and offer it as a network service you must provide the corresponding source to its users. Your cost is the dedicated Cloud VPS only.
Back up the complete degoog_data volume, which holds configuration, settings, extensions and indexer data, and keep the generated settings password with the copy so the restored instance stays reachable. The platform leaves the timing to you, so choose it and test a restore.
Nothing upgrades itself: 1.0.0 is pinned by digest, upgrades are manual and start with a verified backup. Back up the volume, read the upstream release notes, then move to a newer template version when one is published. Extensions may need updates after a move.
It is degoog on a dedicated Cloud VPS under your xCloud login, a degoog cloud of your own at your domain. Search is open to anyone who finds the address, so decide whether you want that before sharing the link.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
