Mafl Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Mafl hosting and give your self-hosted services one clean start page on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Mafl v0.15.4 image behind an HTTP Basic Authentication gateway with a generated 32-character password, mounts a persistent volume for your config.yml and publishes the page over HTTPS in minutes — Mafl has no accounts of its own, so the password prompt protects every path.

What is Mafl?

Mafl is an open-source service for organising your homepage. Upstream describes it as an intuitive, minimalistic and flexible page that lists your self-hosted services as a grid of links, configured from a single YAML file.

It is built for people who run several self-hosted tools and want one fast page to reach them. Mafl has no user accounts of its own, so on xCloud an HTTP Basic Authentication gateway sits in front of it.

From Sign-Up to a Live Homepage In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Mafl setup normally means a container, a reverse proxy, some way to keep the page private, a volume, a domain and a certificate before the first link appears. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Mafl from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, keep the default username or change it, and let xCloud generate the password.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Mafl image, pinned by immutable digest, behind a small Caddy gateway that asks for your username and password, run a one-shot container that fixes volume ownership, mount the mafl_data volume that holds config.yml, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Add Your Services

Open your HTTPS Mafl URL and enter the saved credentials. A starter page with two example links is created on first start; edit /app/data/config.yml over SSH with docker exec -it mafl-<site> vi /app/data/config.yml, then restart the site to show your own services.

Everything Mafl Does, On Your Own Server

Mafl runs in full here: a fast, YAML-configured homepage for your services on your own domain, behind a password you control.

  • One YAML File Configures It

A few lines of YAML in config.yml and the homepage is ready; the starter file is created on first start and never overwritten.

  • Groups And Tags

Organise services into custom groups and add tags to each one, so a long list of links stays easy to scan.

  • Icons, Themes And Languages

Services take Iconify icons, emoji, image URLs or local files; there are ready-made themes, and the interface supports several languages.

  • Interactive Service Cards

Upstream describes Mafl as an interactive homepage: besides the base link card it has IP API and Weather services that show live information.

  • Secrets Stay On The Server

Put widget API keys in the secrets section of the config; they are not sent to the browser, and requests to third-party services are made by the backend.

  • A Password Gate Included

xCloud adds an HTTP Basic Authentication gateway in front of every path; requests without or with a wrong password were rejected with 401 in verification.

Everything You Need To Run Your Homepage 24/7

Managed hosting for Mafl, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Mafl v0.15.4 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Generated password gate
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Mafl

  • A start page for your homelab

Keep every self-hosted service one click away in grouped grids instead of remembering ports and hostnames.

  • A shared page for a small team

Give the people who may see every link the same username and password, and keep the page off the open internet.

  • A page you can version

Because everything lives in one config.yml on a persistent volume, your layout is a single file you can read, edit and back up.

  • Live details next to the links

Add the IP API or Weather service for information on the page, with widget API keys held in the secrets section of the config.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Does Mafl have its own login?

No. xCloud adds an HTTP Basic Authentication gateway, so your browser prompts for the username and password. The default username is admin and the password is generated.

How do I add my services?

Edit /app/data/config.yml in the container over SSH (docker exec -it mafl-<site> vi /app/data/config.yml) and restart the site; the starter file is never overwritten. Mafl has no in-app editor.

What runs alongside Mafl?

A small Caddy gateway for the password prompt, plus a one-shot container that sets data ownership on the volume. Only the gateway is published, behind xCloud-managed HTTPS; Mafl itself is reachable only inside the private network.

Who can see my page and config?

Anyone with the credentials can read the page and the configuration the browser receives, which is everything except the secrets section. Share them only with people who may see every link.

Where do widget API keys go?

In the secrets section of config.yml. They are not sent to the browser.

How do I change the password?

Change the credentials in the install settings and Restart. They are applied on every start.

What should I back up?

The mafl_data volume, which holds /app/data/config.yml.

What survives a restart?

Your config.yml. In verification the file was edited, the site restarted, and the change was still shown, because it lives on a persistent named volume.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Mafl?

No. The template pins Mafl v0.15.4 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 256 MB of RAM and 1 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 44-52 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, which leaves plenty of room for other apps on the same server.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Mafl?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Mafl project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Mafl project, which is MIT licensed.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
