What is Parseable?

Parseable is an open-source log and observability platform. You send it logs, metrics and traces over HTTP or OpenTelemetry, it stores them as datasets, and you query them with SQL from its built-in console.

This template runs Parseable 3.2.5 as a single container in local-store mode, under the AGPL-3.0 licence.

How do I sign in?

Open your HTTPS Parseable URL and sign in as admin with the generated password shown in the protected credentials.

How do I send logs?

POST JSON to /api/v1/ingest with the X-P-Stream header naming the dataset and basic authentication, or use the OpenTelemetry endpoint described in the Parseable docs.

Are ingest and query endpoints open to anyone?

No. Requests with missing or wrong credentials are rejected.

What runs alongside Parseable?

Nothing. It is a single container; the console and API are on one port published through xCloud-managed HTTPS.

How do I change the admin login?

The admin username and password are applied from the environment on every start. Edit them in the environment editor and redeploy.

What should I back up?

Both volumes together: parseable_data (stored datasets and metadata) and parseable_staging (events received but not yet moved to the store). Local storage lives on this server only.

Backups in xCloud

What survives a restart?

Datasets and ingested data on the persistent volumes — the dataset was still listed after an xCloud Restart in QA. Browser sessions are signed out, so sign in again afterwards.

Is telemetry sent to Parseable's maintainers?

Anonymous usage telemetry and update checks are turned off by default in this template.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Parseable?

No. The template pins Parseable 3.2.5 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 512 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 21 MiB. Log volume grows with what you ingest, so this page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Parseable?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Parseable project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Parseable project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
