From Sign-Up to a Live OSINT Map In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting ShadowBroker normally means a frontend, a private API backend, generated secrets, a domain and a certificate before the map even loads. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick ShadowBroker from the OneClick catalog. Enter a domain — the template needs no other fields and generates its own secrets.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the pinned ShadowBroker frontend and backend images, generate the admin key and mesh secrets, and publish the map over HTTPS on your domain while the backend API stays private.

  3. Step 03

    Add Feed Keys And Explore

Save the admin key from the protected installation credentials. Open the HTTPS URL to watch the default layers, then add OpenSky, AIS Stream or other feed keys in the environment settings and redeploy to fill in more layers.

Everything ShadowBroker Does, On Your Own Server

ShadowBroker runs in full here — the same live telemetry map as any hosted OSINT dashboard, on infrastructure you control.

  • Live Aircraft And Vessel Tracking

Public ADS-B aircraft and AIS vessel data plotted on one MapLibre map, alongside orbital satellites.

  • Earthquakes, Hazards And News

Earthquake and hazard feeds sit next to geolocated news and public Telegram channel previews on the same dashboard.

  • Bring Your Own Feed Keys

Add free feed keys for OpenSky, AIS Stream, Global Fishing Watch and others to unlock more layers; nothing is queried for a layer you never enable.

  • Backend Writes Stay Gated

The public map is read-only. Settings, key-saving and pin writes from the public URL are refused; only the generated admin key, held server-side, can change them.

  • Third-Party Fetchers Stay Off

Fetchers that phone home for prediction markets, financial data and similar sources stay disabled until you turn them on yourself.

  • Pins And Caches Survive A Restart

Map caches, seeded datasets, pins and backend state persist on the backend_data volume — confirmed by creating a pin, restarting both containers, and finding it still there.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is ShadowBroker?

ShadowBroker is an open-source OSINT map that puts public aircraft, vessel, satellite, hazard and news telemetry on one live dashboard. This template deploys version 0.9.84.

Do I need to create an account?

No. ShadowBroker has no user accounts. Open the URL and the live map loads. Admin actions use the generated admin key on the server side, not a login in the browser.

Why can't I save API keys in the browser?

Public visitors can't change settings — that was confirmed by testing that anonymous key-saving and writes are refused. Add feed keys in the xCloud environment editor and redeploy.

Which layers work without keys?

At 0.9.84, satellites, earthquakes and hazards, news, and some aircraft and vessel data load without keys. Adding OpenSky, AIS Stream, Global Fishing Watch and other keys fills in more layers.

Does it join a public mesh network?

No. Infonet fleet join, Tor/Arti and Meshtastic MQTT are off by default.

Why does the basemap show an "API key required" watermark?

That comes from CARTO, the provider of the default dark basemap tiles, not from this deployment — it is a known upstream caveat at this version.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 2 CPU, 4608 MB of RAM and 16 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 16 GB tier to match it. Measured use on QA was about 1.4-1.9 GB RAM with the default layers; upstream recommends a 4 GB backend budget for heavy layers.

What runs alongside the web map?

A FastAPI backend on container port 8000 with no published host port, reachable only on the private compose network.

What should I back up?

The backend_data volume, which holds map caches, bundled seed datasets, pins and backend state, plus the generated secrets in the environment.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update ShadowBroker?

No. The template pins the frontend and backend images by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Read the upstream release notes and bump the tag and digest together when you choose to upgrade.

Is xCloud officially partnered with ShadowBroker?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the ShadowBroker project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source ShadowBroker project.

Can I run other apps on the same server?

Yes. It is a dedicated Cloud VPS, not a locked appliance, so you can deploy other OneClick apps or your own sites beside it as long as the resources are there.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
