Workout.cool Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Run a private, self-hosted place to build workout plans, follow exercise guidance and record completed training sessions on infrastructure you control, instead of handing your training history to a fitness-app subscription. xCloud configures the pinned Workout.cool v1.3.2 image, a private PostgreSQL database, its persistent data volume and the HTTPS reverse proxy in minutes, so you're building your first workout right after creating an account.

From Sign-Up to a Live Workout.cool Tracker In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting a fitness tracker normally means an application server, a relational database, a reverse proxy, a domain and a certificate before you can log a single session. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Workout.cool from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain and the target server — there are no other fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Workout.cool v1.3.2 image alongside a private PostgreSQL 15.19, both pinned by immutable digest, mount the workout_cool_db volume, seed the upstream sample exercise library, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Create Your Account And Build A Workout

Open the generated HTTPS URL and create your account through Workout.cool's own registration screen. Build a workout, add an exercise, and record a completed session to confirm it shows up in your history.

Everything Workout.cool Does, On Your Own Server

Workout.cool runs in full here — workout plans, exercise guidance and training history, on infrastructure you control.

  • Workout Plan Builder

Build reusable workout plans and organize exercises inside one focused fitness application, instead of scattered notes and spreadsheets.

  • Exercise Guidance

Follow exercise guidance while building or running a workout, with a seeded sample exercise library ready to use right after install.

  • Session Recording And Training History

Record completed sessions, exercises and ratings to build a training history you can look back through in the app's calendar or history view.

  • Self-Service Account Registration

Create your account yourself through Workout.cool's own registration screen right after installation — nothing is pre-created for you.

  • Private PostgreSQL Storage

Accounts, workout plans, exercises and recorded sessions all live in PostgreSQL — never exposed on a public port, only the app is.

  • Persistent Training Data

The complete workout_cool_db volume — accounts, plans and session history together — survives a restart or lifecycle action.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is Workout.cool?

Workout.cool is a free, open-source fitness platform for building workout plans, following exercise guidance and recording completed training sessions. This template deploys version 1.3.2.

Is Workout.cool free?

Yes — it is free and open source under the MIT licence. What you pay xCloud for is the dedicated server it runs on and the management around it, not the software itself.

Can I self-host Workout.cool?

Yes — that is exactly what this template deploys. It brings up the official Workout.cool image alongside a private PostgreSQL database, both pinned by immutable digest, mounts its persistent data volume, and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain in minutes instead of assembled by hand.

Who becomes the administrator, and how do I sign in?

Nobody is pre-created. After installation, open the generated HTTPS URL and create your account yourself through Workout.cool's own registration screen — that account is the one you sign in with going forward.

Does Workout.cool come with exercises already loaded?

Yes. This baseline seeds the upstream sample exercise library at install time, so the workout builder is usable immediately — that seeded data is reference content from the project, not something you authored yourself.

What does xCloud configure automatically?

A private PostgreSQL database with a generated name, user and password, a generated authentication secret, the persistent data volume, the domain, and the HTTPS route. Only the Workout.cool application is published — PostgreSQL stays private on the internal network.

Is Google sign-in or billing available?

No, not in this baseline. Google sign-in is explicitly disabled and billing features are off — the template ships with Workout.cool's own email and password registration only.

What should I back up?

The complete workout_cool_db volume, which contains accounts, workout plans, exercises and recorded sessions. Keep the application and database backup from the same point in time, and preserve the generated authentication secret alongside it.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Workout.cool?

No. The template pins Workout.cool and PostgreSQL by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Before changing either pinned image, back up the PostgreSQL volume and the generated environment, review upstream migration notes, then verify sign-in, workout building and session history afterward.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template manifest asks for 1 GB of RAM, one CPU core and 10 GB of disk as a floor for Workout.cool alongside PostgreSQL. This page sells the 6 GB tier as comfortable headroom above that floor, with room for a growing training history.

What survives a restart?

Everything on workout_cool_db, because it is a persistent named volume. Restarting the containers or running an xCloud lifecycle action does not touch your accounts, plans, exercises or recorded sessions.

Can the authentication secret be changed later?

It can, but changing it can invalidate active sessions, so treat it as a planned maintenance change rather than a routine one — keep the generated `.env` together with your database backup and rotate it deliberately.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Workout.cool?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and Workout.cool or Snouzy has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Workout.cool project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
