What is Komari?

Self-hosted Komari is a lightweight server monitoring solution. Upstream describes a web interface that tracks server performance with metrics collected by a lightweight agent, showing data at one-second intervals, with custom themes, plugins and a web terminal. The template's description also lists node management and alerts. It is MIT licensed, and upstream warns it is a monitoring and control application for systems you are authorised to manage.

The komari_data volume holds the primary SQLite database, the metrics database, themes, plugins and backups. Is Komari free and open source?

Yes. Komari is MIT licensed, so anyone can read and run the code without a fee. xCloud charges for the dedicated Cloud VPS underneath it. The template deploys only the dashboard and adds no paid Komari tier.

Can I run Komari with Docker?

Yes, and this template is Komari Docker hosting without the assembly. It starts the ghcr.io/komari-monitor/komari 1.4.3 image, pinned by digest, as one container, proxies port 25774 behind HTTPS and mounts the komari_data volume at /app/data.

How much RAM does Komari need?

Komari asks for 512 MB of RAM, one core and 10 GB of disk in its manifest. We pair it with the 6 GB Cloud VPS for a Komari cloud install, mostly as headroom. Disk grows with the metrics history and backups in the data volume.

Who creates the first Komari administrator?

You do, on first visit. There is no install form or generated password: open the site and create the first administrator account straight away, because whoever reaches the address first can do it. Then protect that account and remove any enrolment credentials you no longer use.

Upstream's screenshots list a web terminal among Komari's pages. Because it reaches enrolled servers, anyone with an administrator login can use it, so keep that account private and review who has access before enrolling production hosts.

How do I back up Komari?

Back up the komari_data volume as one unit. It holds the primary SQLite database, the metrics database, themes, plugins and backups. Stop the application or its writes before taking a filesystem snapshot so the databases agree, and test a restore first.

How do I update Komari?

Your install stays on its pinned 1.4.3 version until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the komari_data volume first and read the upstream release notes. Afterwards sign in, confirm your nodes still report and check a history chart.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
