RustFS hosting on xCloud lets you deploy RustFS, an open-source S3-compatible object storage system written in Rust, on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned official image in single-node mode, generates the access and secret keys, keeps your buckets on a persistent volume and publishes the S3 API and the web console over HTTPS, so your applications and S3 tools store files on a server you control.
RustFS is an open-source, S3-compatible object storage system written in Rust. Upstream lists broad S3 coverage, versioning, Object Lock, server-side encryption, bucket and site replication, lifecycle management, IAM policies, OIDC, quotas, event notifications, audit logging and a web console, in both single-node and distributed modes. A self-hosted RustFS is S3-compatible storage on your own server, an alternative to Amazon S3. It is Apache-2.0 licensed.
On xCloud it is RustFS 1.0.0, the official image pinned by digest, in single-node mode with one data volume, so it is not a distributed cluster. The rustfs_data volume holds every object. xCloud generates a 24-character access key and a 48-character secret key that sign in to the console and sign S3 requests, and anonymous requests are refused.
A self-hosted S3 store normally means a container, generated keys, a data volume, a proxy that allows large uploads, a domain and a certificate before the first bucket. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick RustFS from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official RustFS image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with the rustfs_data volume mounted at /data, generate the access key and secret key, and publish the console and S3 API over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the access key and secret key from your protected installation credentials, open https://your-domain/rustfs/console/ and sign in with them. Create a bucket, then configure your S3 client with your endpoint and the same keys.
RustFS runs in full here: an S3 API and a web console on your own domain, with every bucket and object on a volume you own.
Point S3 SDKs, CLIs and backup tools at your HTTPS domain with the generated keys. Upstream tracks API coverage in its S3 compatibility matrix.
Create buckets, browse and upload objects, including large files from the browser, at /rustfs/console/ on your domain.
Upstream lists bucket versioning and object lock (WORM) among its shipped features for protecting data from overwrites and deletes.
Lifecycle rules, bucket quotas and IAM policies are part of the upstream feature set for managing how storage is used and by whom.
Upstream ships server-side encryption for objects stored in your buckets.
Buckets, objects and credentials live on the rustfs_data volume and were byte-identical after an xCloud Restart in QA.
Managed hosting for RustFS, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Point a backup tool, a CMS or your own code at the S3 endpoint with the generated keys, so uploads land in buckets on your server instead of a cloud provider.
Send database dumps and snapshots from other servers to a RustFS bucket over HTTPS, keeping a copy on separate infrastructure that you manage.
Create buckets, browse objects and check usage in the web console, so a small team does not need command-line S3 tools for routine tasks.
Run RustFS beside your existing S3 workload, copy a test bucket across with an S3 client and compare behaviour on your own data before you decide to move anything.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

RustFS asks for 4096 MB of RAM, 2 CPU cores and 20 GB of disk in its template, with disk growing as objects accumulate. This page sells the 16 GB plan for headroom above that floor.
Yes, and this template is rustfs docker hosting without the setup: the official rustfs/rustfs image pinned by digest, the rustfs_data volume, generated access and secret keys, and HTTPS on your own domain for the S3 API and console.
Yes. Configure any S3 client with the endpoint, the generated access and secret keys and the region it expects. The same keys sign in to the console, and objects up to 5 GiB per PutObject or multipart part are supported.
No. Anonymous and unsigned S3 requests were refused in QA, so every request must be signed with the access key and secret key. Keep both private, and note they also authenticate the web console.
Prefer the HTTPS domain as the S3 endpoint. The S3 API is also exposed on an allocated server TCP port over plain HTTP, so restrict that port with your firewall or avoid it for internet traffic.
It is S3-compatible object storage released under Apache-2.0, so S3 clients and SDKs can point at it with your generated keys. Coverage is tracked in upstream's S3 compatibility matrix, so test your own workload before moving data.
Yes. RustFS is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, so the software has no licence fee. You pay only for the Cloud VPS and its disk, which makes this a RustFS cloud install of your own with no per-request charges.
Back up the complete rustfs_data volume while writes are quiet, and keep the access and secret keys with the encrypted backup. This is a single-node install, so a copy off the server is your only redundancy; test restores on a separate volume.
RustFS stays on its pinned 1.0.0 image until a newer template version is adopted. Take a verified copy of rustfs_data and review the release notes first. Upgrades never happen automatically.
No. The OneClick template runs RustFS in single-node mode on one server with one data volume. Upstream supports distributed mode, but this install gives no cross-server redundancy, so keep external backups.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
