SeaweedFS Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy SeaweedFS on xCloud as a private S3-compatible object-storage endpoint for application assets, uploads and backups, instead of assembling the container, reverse proxy, DNS and TLS configuration yourself. xCloud provisions the pinned SeaweedFS 4.46 image in its straightforward single-node `weed mini` mode, generates unique S3 credentials, persists the complete data boundary, and serves S3 through managed HTTPS in minutes.

From Sign-Up to a Live S3 Endpoint In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting S3-compatible object storage normally means a container, generated credentials, persistent storage, a domain and a certificate before a single bucket exists. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick SeaweedFS from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain or a temporary xCloud domain and a target server — there are no other fields to fill in, since S3 credentials are generated automatically.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official SeaweedFS 4.46 image, pinned by immutable digest, running `weed mini` with its master, volume, filer and S3 components, generate unique S3 access and secret keys, mount the seaweedfs_data volume, and publish the S3 endpoint over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Connect A Client And Upload An Object

Copy the endpoint and credentials from xCloud's protected credentials panel and store them securely. Configure an S3 client for the HTTPS endpoint with path-style addressing, then create a bucket and upload an object to confirm the connection.

Everything SeaweedFS Does, On Your Own Server

SeaweedFS's single-node S3 endpoint runs in full here — buckets, objects, generated credentials and a persistent data boundary, on infrastructure you control.

  • S3-Compatible Object Storage

Give applications an S3-compatible endpoint for assets, uploads, archives and backup targets, instead of renting space on someone else's object store.

  • Generated S3 Credentials

Sign in with per-install access and secret keys using AWS Signature V4 authentication — nothing is left open to anonymous requests.

  • Internal Surfaces Stay Private

SeaweedFS master, volume, filer, gRPC, admin, WebDAV, Iceberg and Lance surfaces stay off the public network — only the S3 port is routed through HTTPS.

  • Works With Existing S3 Tooling

Point any S3-compatible client or SDK at the HTTPS endpoint with path-style addressing, without rewriting application code.

  • One Complete Data Volume

Object data, filer and master metadata, and mini configuration all persist together in a single data boundary.

  • Immutable, Multi-Architecture Image

New installations start from the official image pinned by immutable digest, on both amd64 and arm64 hosts.

Every size is a dedicated Cloud VPS we provision, patch, monitor and restore. Billed monthly with no lock-in — delete the server and the unused balance comes back to your account. The 6 GB rung sold elsewhere on this site is deliberately absent: SeaweedFS's own template minimum is 4 GiB RAM, which doesn't fit comfortably under it. SeaweedFS itself is free and open source.

Already Have a Server? Bring Your Own

Connect any VPS — DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS, Hetzner or bare metal — and deploy SeaweedFS on it through the same panel, for a per-server management fee instead of a Cloud VPS rental. Size it above SeaweedFS's own 4 GiB minimum.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is SeaweedFS?

SeaweedFS is open-source distributed storage software for blobs, objects and files. This template uses its simple single-node mode and exposes an S3-compatible API. It deploys version 4.46.

Is this a highly available SeaweedFS cluster?

No. It is a single-node, single-volume deployment for straightforward self-hosted S3-compatible storage. Use tested off-server backups, and choose a different architecture if you need node-level high availability.

Can I use AWS S3 tools with it?

Yes. Configure an S3-compatible client with the displayed HTTPS endpoint and credentials, using path-style addressing when the client offers that option.

Who generates the S3 credentials, and where do I find them?

xCloud generates unique per-install S3 access and secret keys during installation and shows them in the protected credentials panel — there are no customer fields to fill in for authentication.

What does xCloud configure automatically?

The pinned SeaweedFS image running as `weed mini`, generated S3 credentials, the seaweedfs_data volume, the domain and the HTTPS route. Only the S3 port is published; master, volume, filer, gRPC, admin, WebDAV, Iceberg and Lance surfaces stay off the public network.

What should I back up?

Back up the complete seaweedfs_data volume together with the matching S3 credentials while writes are stopped or quiesced, since this is a single-node/single-volume deployment. Encrypt and retain a copy off-host, and test recovery into a fresh volume by authenticating with the restored credentials and comparing known object bytes.

Does xCloud automatically upgrade SeaweedFS?

No. New installs use the pinned catalog release; existing-site upgrades remain a planned customer operation.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 16 GB?

The template's starting requirement is 2 CPU cores, 4 GiB RAM and 20 GiB disk. The 6 GB tier sold elsewhere on this site doesn't fit comfortably under that floor, so this page sells the 16 GB tier as the entry rung.

What survives a restart?

Everything on seaweedfs_data, because it is a persistent named volume — object data, filer and master metadata, and mini configuration. A plain restart also preserves existing S3 credentials; deliberate rotation should be coordinated with every client using the endpoint.

Is xCloud officially partnered with SeaweedFS?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the SeaweedFS project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source SeaweedFS project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
