Subscription Manager Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Subscription Manager hosting and track recurring payments, renewal dates and monthly totals on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Subscription Manager 3.2.9 image behind a Caddy gateway that asks for a username and generated password, stores an embedded SQLite file on a persistent volume and publishes it over HTTPS. Reminders go through your own ntfy or Gotify server.

What is Subscription Manager?

Subscription Manager is a single-page web application for keeping track of your subscriptions. Upstream lists adding, editing and deleting subscriptions, a calendar view, weekly, monthly and yearly totals, summaries per payment account, icons, support for multiple currencies, and notifications through ntfy or Gotify. Self-hosted Subscription Manager is the alternative to a hosted subscription tracking app, under the MIT licence.

On xCloud it is Subscription Manager 3.2.9, pinned by digest, with an embedded SQLite file, subscriptions.db, on the subscription_manager_data volume. Upstream has no login, so a small Caddy gateway enforces one shared HTTP Basic login with a generated password. Daily reminders run at midnight in the time zone you set, defaulting to UTC, and notification settings are stored in the app itself.

From Sign-Up to a Live Subscription Calendar In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting Subscription Manager normally means a container, a login gateway, a domain and a certificate before a single subscription is tracked. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Subscription Manager from the OneClick catalog. Optionally change the login username — it defaults to admin. xCloud generates the password.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official dh1011/subscription-manager image pinned by immutable digest behind a Caddy gateway that enforces the login, mount the data volume, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Add A Subscription

Save the username and password shown in your protected installation credentials, sign in at the browser's login prompt, and click a date on the calendar to add your first subscription.

Everything Subscription Manager Does, On Your Own Server

Subscription Manager runs in full here — the same calendar and reminder tooling as any hosted tracker, on infrastructure you control.

  • Everything On A Calendar

See every subscription by its due date, with weekly, monthly and yearly totals at a glance.

  • Spending By Account

Break spending down by payment account or card, with multi-currency support.

  • Daily Due-Date Reminders

Get a reminder through your own ntfy or Gotify server before a renewal hits.

  • Tags And Icons

Tag subscriptions and give each one an icon to keep a long list readable.

  • A Login In Front Of Everything

A password-protected HTTP Basic login sits in front of every page and API call, since the app itself has none.

  • Survives A Restart

Subscriptions, currency settings and notification settings live in SQLite on a persistent volume and survive an xCloud Restart.

What You Can Do With Subscription Manager

  • See what renews this month

View every subscription on a calendar by due date and read weekly, monthly and yearly totals at a glance.

  • Split spending by card or account

Break costs down per payment account, with multi-currency support when subscriptions bill in different currencies.

  • Get a nudge before a renewal

Receive a daily due-date reminder through your own ntfy or Gotify server rather than a vendor's email.

  • Keep your spending list private

Hold subscription names, amounts and cards on your own server behind a login, not in a third-party budgeting account.

Subscription Manager vs Alternatives

Hosted subscription tracking apps
A hosted tracker keeps your subscriptions and spending in a vendor's account. Self-hosted Subscription Manager stores them in a SQLite file on your own Cloud VPS, behind your own login.
Wallos
Wallos has its own OneClick page as another self-hosted tracker for recurring expenses. Subscription Manager is a single-page app with a calendar view and ntfy or Gotify reminders.
Actual Budget
Actual Budget has its own OneClick page and covers whole-budget envelope planning. Subscription Manager only tracks recurring payments and their renewal dates.
A spreadsheet of renewals
A spreadsheet holds renewals in rows you maintain yourself. Subscription Manager puts them on a calendar, totals them by week, month and year and sends ntfy or Gotify reminders from one SQLite file.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Can you self-host Subscription Manager with Docker?

Yes. Upstream documents a Docker Compose setup with a data directory, and this template is Subscription Manager Docker hosting set up for you: the 3.2.9 image pinned by digest, a Caddy login gateway, one data volume and HTTPS. It is your own Subscription Manager cloud tracker.

How much RAM does Subscription Manager need?

Upstream states no memory requirement; the template asks for 256 MB RAM, 1 core and 1 GB storage, and use in QA was about 50 MiB for the app and gateway together. This page starts at the 6 GB plan, far above what the app itself needs.

Is Subscription Manager free?

Yes, MIT-licensed and fee-free. The dedicated Cloud VPS is your only cost, cancellable any time. Subscriptions and settings sit in a SQLite file on a volume that you control. Notification topics and Gotify tokens stay inside the app's own settings.

How do I sign in to Subscription Manager?

Save the username, admin by default, and the generated password from your protected installation credentials, then sign in at your browser's login prompt the first time you open the site. The prompt is the HTTP Basic gateway, not an account inside the app.

Does Subscription Manager have user accounts?

No. Upstream is a single-user app with no login, so xCloud puts one password-protected HTTP Basic login in front of it. There are no per-user roles; anyone with the password can see and edit every subscription, so share it carefully.

How do I get Subscription Manager reminders?

In the app's own settings, enter an ntfy topic and server, or a Gotify URL and token. The app checks due dates daily at midnight in your configured time zone. Notification settings are saved in the app, not in the environment file.

Does Subscription Manager support multiple currencies?

Yes. Upstream lists support for multiple currencies, with totals and per-account summaries. Set the currency on each subscription, and check the currency settings stored in the app so weekly, monthly and yearly totals add up the way you expect.

Can I set my own time zone for Subscription Manager reminders?

Yes. Set TZ in the Environment editor and restart the site; reminders run daily at midnight in that zone, defaulting to UTC. It is read on every start, so a change takes effect after the restart rather than live.

How do I back up Subscription Manager?

Back up the subscription_manager_data volume, which holds subscriptions.db with all your subscriptions, currency settings and notification settings. Copy it with the container stopped for a consistent file, and keep the login values from the environment too.

How do I upgrade Subscription Manager?

The install stays on pinned 3.2.9 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the data volume, skim upstream's release notes, then redeploy and check a subscription and a reminder. Existing sites are never upgraded automatically.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
