Waxum hosting on xCloud lets you deploy Waxum, a WhatsApp REST API gateway, so your own apps can send and receive WhatsApp messages through an API you run. xCloud brings up the pinned Waxum 0.13.0 image with a private NATS JetStream sidecar behind managed HTTPS on your domain, generates the superadmin token and keeps sessions on persistent storage. It is not an official WhatsApp product.
Waxum is a WhatsApp REST API gateway written in Rust, according to its README: a native single binary with multi-session support, webhooks signed with HMAC, JWT and bearer authentication, Swagger, Prometheus metrics and optional NATS JetStream. Each session runs on WhatsApp's multi-device protocol, paired by QR or pairing code, or on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API, behind the same routes. A self-hosted Waxum is MIT licensed.
On xCloud the template runs Waxum 0.13.0 and NATS 2.10, both pinned by digest, with only the web console and API published over HTTPS. A generated superadmin token is the console login and the API bearer. Session stores and the SQLite registry sit on whatsapp_sessions and the JetStream store on nats_data. This is not an official WhatsApp, Meta or Waxum offering.
Self-hosting a WhatsApp gateway means a Docker host, a domain, a certificate, a NATS sidecar and a token to protect. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Waxum from the OneClick catalog and choose a domain. There are no other fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Waxum 0.13.0 image with its NATS sidecar, publish it over HTTPS and generate your superadmin token.
Step 03
Sign in at /login with the saved token, create a session and pair it by QR code or 8-character pairing code.
One WhatsApp API for your apps, running on infrastructure you control.
Send text, media, location, contacts, polls and reactions, and manage groups and broadcast lists, all under one REST API.
Pair each number by QR code or pairing code, or run a session on Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API behind the same routes.
HMAC-SHA256 signed WhatsApp webhook events with event filters, a circuit breaker and a dead-letter queue you can replay.
Schedule messages or run a blast queue with pacing, dedup and retry for bulk messaging.
A built-in console, per-session playground, Swagger UI (OpenAPI 3.1) and Prometheus metrics.
Sessions, session-scoped API tokens and the SQLite registry survive an xCloud Restart, verified on QA.
Managed hosting for Waxum, so the HTTPS, storage and server upkeep are not your problem.
Call the REST API with your superadmin token to send text, media, polls and more from a backend you control.
Point signed webhooks at your own service so incoming WhatsApp events reach your application.
Create multiple sessions in the console, each paired with its own number by QR or pairing code.
Open the Swagger UI with the same bearer token to explore endpoints before writing code.

Waxum is a self-hosted WhatsApp REST API gateway; this is the managed server it runs on. The template baseline is 1 CPU, 256 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk, so this page sells the 6 GB tier. Every size is a dedicated Cloud VPS we provision, patch, monitor and restore.
Connect any VPS — DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS, Hetzner or bare metal — and deploy Waxum on it through the same panel, for a per-server management fee instead of a Cloud VPS rental.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Yes. Waxum is MIT licensed, so the gateway has no licence fee. Your cost is the Cloud VPS running Waxum and NATS, and if you use Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API as a provider, Meta bills separately under its own terms.
The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 256 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk, and QA saw about 19 MiB idle with no paired phone. Paired sessions use more, so the 6 GB plan leaves room for several numbers.
Yes, and this template is Waxum Docker hosting without the setup: the fdciabdul/waxum 0.13.0 image and a private NATS sidecar, both pinned by digest, generated token and JWT secret, two volumes and HTTPS. NATS has no host port.
Open /login on your domain and paste the superadmin token from your installation credentials. The same token works as a bearer credential for the API and Swagger UI. Requests without a valid token get 401, and there is no open signup.
Create a session in the console and pair it with a QR code or pairing code. Upstream also supports sessions that use Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API. Allow about 30 seconds on first boot while the registry is created.
No. It is a third-party gateway, and neither WhatsApp, Meta nor xCloud endorses it. Sessions use WhatsApp's multi-device protocol or Meta's Cloud API, and you are responsible for following WhatsApp's terms, including for bulk or scheduled sending.
Yes: /health and /livez answer without login for the health check, and upstream's /metrics endpoint answers without login and exposes counters only, so treat it as public. Everything else, including the console, API and Swagger, requires the superadmin token.
Back up whatsapp_sessions and nats_data together, plus your environment values, with writes stopped so the SQLite and JetStream files are consistent. whatsapp_sessions holds the session stores, registry and any call recordings. Keep the superadmin token and JWT secret with the copy.
The install stays on Waxum 0.13.0 and NATS 2.10 until you adopt a newer template version. Read the upstream release notes, back up both volumes and never delete volumes during an upgrade. Nothing upgrades the app automatically.
This page is your own Waxum cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running the open-source gateway, with sessions on volumes of your own. It is a private instance rather than a shared service, and only holders of your superadmin token can use it.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Deploy in minutes on a dedicated server, then pair your first number.
