Fladder Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Fladder hosting on xCloud serves a self-hosted Jellyfin web client, a modern and adaptive one for your Jellyfin server, on your own domain, so viewers get a polished interface in any browser. Deploy Fladder 0.11.1 and xCloud runs the pinned static web image behind HTTPS in minutes, with no database, no accounts and no volume to manage. It needs an existing Jellyfin server that the browser can reach.

What is Fladder?

Self-hosted Fladder is a cross-platform client for Jellyfin media servers, and the template serves its web build. Upstream's README lists playing media, managing your library, multiple profiles across different servers, direct, transcode and offline playback, media segment skipping, trickplay scrubbing, dark and light themes and simple comic book reading. It is a self-hosted alternative to Jellyfin's bundled web client, and it is licensed GPL-3.0.

Fladder is not a media server. On xCloud the template runs ghcr.io/donutware/fladder v0.11.1, pinned by digest, as static files with nothing stored in the container: no media, accounts or other user data. You open the site, enter your Jellyfin server address and sign in with a Jellyfin account. Your Jellyfin server must be reachable from the browser.

From Sign-Up to a Live Fladder Client In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting a Jellyfin frontend normally means a container, a domain and a certificate before anyone can open it. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Fladder from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain — there is nothing else to configure up front.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the pinned Fladder 0.11.1 image and publish it over HTTPS on your domain. There are no credentials to save, because Fladder has no account of its own.

  3. Step 03

    Connect Your Jellyfin Server

Open the HTTPS Fladder URL, enter your Jellyfin server address, pick or type your Jellyfin user, sign in, and start browsing your library.

Everything Fladder Does, On Your Own Server

Fladder runs in full here — the same adaptive Jellyfin frontend as any self-hosted install, on infrastructure you control.

  • Adaptive Playback Interface

Browse and play your Jellyfin movies, shows and music in a clean interface that works on desktop and mobile browsers.

  • Multiple Profiles And Servers

Manage multiple profiles and switch between Jellyfin servers from one client.

  • Trickplay And Segment Skipping

Dark and light modes with several colour styles, keyboard shortcuts, trickplay timeline scrubbing and intro/credits segment skipping.

  • Optional Seerr Integration

Preset a Seerr or Jellyseerr server for media requests, straight from the environment settings.

  • Lock To One Server

Set BASE_URL in the environment settings and redeploy to lock the client to a single Jellyfin server URL for your household or team.

  • Nothing To Lose

Fladder stores no media or accounts on the server — sign-ins and settings live in each viewer's browser, and they stayed intact across an xCloud restart in QA.

Everything You Need To Run Your Media 24/7

Managed hosting for Fladder, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Fladder 0.11.1 deployed instantly
  • Works with your existing Jellyfin server
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Fladder

  • A Jellyfin client for the web

A household that already runs Jellyfin gives family members a polished browser client on its own domain, with an adaptive layout that suits phones, tablets and desktops.

  • Switch between several servers

A user keeps profiles for more than one Jellyfin server and moves between them in the same client, using the multiple profile support listed in the upstream README.

  • Lock the client to your server

An owner sets BASE_URL so the client points only at their Jellyfin server, and can preset a Seerr address so requests work without visitors typing addresses.

  • Skip intros and scrub the timeline

A viewer uses media segment skipping for intros and credits and trickplay thumbnails when scrubbing, features that depend on the Jellyfin server providing the data.

Fladder vs Alternatives

Jellyfin Web
Jellyfin ships its own web client. Choose Fladder as a Jellyfin Web alternative for a different interface and multiple server profiles; it adds no server features, and everything still comes from your Jellyfin server.
Jellyfin
Jellyfin is the self-hosted media server with its own OneClick page. Fladder is only a client for it: Jellyfin stores and serves the media, while Fladder presents it in a different interface.
Finetic
Finetic is another Jellyfin client, and this page makes no feature claim about it. Fladder's own README pitches a cross-platform client with direct, transcode and offline playback and comic book reading.
Pelagica
Pelagica is another Jellyfin client, and this page makes no comparison with it. Fladder here is the web build, served as static files with no database behind it.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Is Fladder free and open source?

Yes. Fladder is licensed GPL-3.0, so the client carries no licence charge. xCloud bills for the dedicated Cloud VPS that serves it. Fladder includes no media server, so Jellyfin and your library storage are separate.

Can I run Fladder with Docker?

Yes, and this template does it for you: the ghcr.io/donutware/fladder v0.11.1 image, pinned by digest, as a static web server behind HTTPS. It is Fladder Docker hosting with no database and no volume, ready within about a minute of starting.

How much RAM does a Fladder cloud server need?

Fladder only serves static files, so 256 MB of RAM is the floor for a Fladder cloud install. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here leaves room for other apps, including the Jellyfin server it connects to.

Does Fladder need a Jellyfin server?

Yes. Fladder has no accounts or administrator of its own: open the site, enter your Jellyfin server address and sign in with a Jellyfin account. The Jellyfin server must be reachable from the visitor's browser, not just from this server.

Does Fladder store my media?

No. Fladder serves static files and stores no media, accounts or other user data in this container, so there is nothing to back up. Your library, users and watch progress stay on the Jellyfin server you connect it to.

Can Fladder connect to Seerr?

Optionally. Set SEERR_BASE_URL in the Environment editor to preset a Seerr server, then redeploy. The upstream SEERR_HEADER setting is not applied by this image release, so do not rely on it. These settings are read whenever the container starts.

How do I lock Fladder to one Jellyfin server?

Set BASE_URL in the Environment editor to your Jellyfin server address and redeploy. Visitors then use the client against that server only. You can also serve the frontend under a path with FLADDER_WEBPATH, in which case the site root returns 404.

How do I back up Fladder?

There is no volume to back up: the template creates none and the container holds no data. Your settings are the optional environment lines, so note those down. Back up the Jellyfin server separately, since that is where your media and accounts live.

How do I update Fladder?

There are no automatic upgrades. Release v0.11.1 is pinned by digest, and catalogue changes skip live sites. Read upstream's notes, adopt a newer template version when one is published, then confirm you can still sign in to Jellyfin through the client.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.

Ready to Own Your Jellyfin Client?

Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
