From Sign-Up to a Live Spreadsheet In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting IronCalc normally means an API server, a web front end, a domain and a certificate before you can open a single cell. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick IronCalc from the OneClick catalog. Enter a domain — the template needs no other fields and creates no credentials.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the pinned IronCalc server and Caddy images and publish the editor over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Open And Share A Workbook

Open your HTTPS URL — the editor loads straight away with no sign-in. Create a blank workbook or import an .xlsx file, then use Share to get a link, or download it back as .xlsx.

Everything IronCalc Does, On Your Own Domain

IronCalc runs in full here — the same spreadsheet engine and sharing tooling as any hosted demo, on infrastructure you control.

  • Browser Spreadsheet Editor

A full spreadsheet editor in the browser, built on the open-source Rust IronCalc engine, with no install for the people you share a link with.

  • .xlsx Import And Export

Bring in existing .xlsx files and download any workbook back out as .xlsx when you're done.

  • Share By Link

Click Share to upload a copy of a workbook; anyone with that link opens their own copy without needing an account.

  • No List Of Shared Workbooks

The template disables the upstream endpoint that would list every shared workbook, so a workbook is reachable only through its own link.

  • No Accounts To Manage

There is nothing to provision for users — IronCalc has no login, so anyone who can reach your site can use the editor.

  • Shared Workbooks Survive A Restart

Shared workbooks persist on the ironcalc_data volume and were confirmed to survive a container restart and recreate.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is IronCalc?

IronCalc is an open-source spreadsheet engine written in Rust, with a browser spreadsheet app on top for opening, editing, importing and sharing workbooks. This template deploys version 0.8.3.

Do I need an account to use IronCalc?

No. IronCalc has no accounts or login, so anyone who can reach your site can open the editor. If that is not acceptable, put your own access layer, such as HTTP Basic Auth, in front of the whole site.

Where are my workbooks stored?

Workbooks you create stay in your browser. When you click Share, a copy is uploaded to your server, and anyone with that link can open it.

Can someone list all shared workbooks?

Not on xCloud. The template disables the upstream list endpoint, so a shared workbook is reachable only through its own link.

Can I work with Excel files?

Yes. You can import .xlsx files directly and download any workbook back out as .xlsx.

Is IronCalc production-ready?

Upstream labels the web app a proof of concept and shows a warning in the app against sharing sensitive or private data. Use it for evaluating the engine or for low-stakes sharing, not as a system of record for confidential spreadsheets.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 1 CPU, 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 6 GB tier, comfortable headroom above that floor. Measured idle use on QA was about 14 MiB.

What runs alongside the web app?

A private Rust API server that handles spreadsheet logic, reachable only on the internal network — only the web editor and its /api path are published over HTTPS.

What should I back up?

The ironcalc_data volume, which holds the SQLite database of shared workbooks. Workbooks that were never shared exist only in the creator's browser, so download them as .xlsx to keep a separate copy.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update IronCalc?

No. The template pins the server and Caddy images by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Read the upstream release notes and bump the tag and digest together when you choose to upgrade.

Is xCloud officially partnered with IronCalc?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the IronCalc project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source IronCalc project.

Can I run other apps on the same server?

Yes. It is a dedicated Cloud VPS, not a locked appliance, so you can deploy other OneClick apps or your own sites beside it as long as the resources are there.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
