Deploy YT Zero on xCloud and get YT Zero hosting for a calm, subscription-only YouTube feed with playlists and optional downloads. xCloud runs the pinned vendor image, generates the shared access password, mounts one persistent data volume for your subscriptions, database and downloads, and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain in minutes. It needs no Google account or API key.
YT Zero turns YouTube back into a simple reader for channels you chose on purpose: no Google account, no API key and no algorithmic home feed. A self-hosted YT Zero reads public YouTube RSS feeds, stores everything in your own database and offers a chronological inbox with playlists, tags, rules, watch history and bookmarks, plus optional yt-dlp downloads. Upstream supports importing from OPML, NewPipe and Google Takeout. It is licensed under AGPL-3.0.
On xCloud the install runs YT Zero 2026.09.9 from the vendor image, pinned by digest, as one container with SQLite. The ytzero_data volume holds the database, downloads, cookies, avatars, logs and the managed yt-dlp binary, which takes a few minutes to provision on first boot. xCloud generates one shared password. It is not a boundary between profiles, so everyone who knows it can manage the whole instance.
Self-hosting a subscription-only YouTube reader normally means a container, a password gateway, a domain and a certificate before you can follow a single channel. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick YT Zero from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain — xCloud generates the shared password.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned YT Zero 2026.09.9 image, mount the persistent data volume, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain with the container bound to loopback.
Step 03
Open the HTTPS YT Zero URL and sign in with the shared password from your installation credentials. Add your first channel by pasting its YouTube URL, or import a Google Takeout subscriptions file.
YT Zero runs in full here — the same subscription-only feed and download tooling as any self-hosted install, on infrastructure you control.
One chronological feed of new videos from the channels you follow, read from public YouTube RSS — no Google account or API key needed.
Sort, schedule and revisit videos with playlists, tags, rules, watch history and bookmarks.
Enable yt-dlp downloads for offline viewing — QA confirmed a 1080p download completed and streamed back from the instance.
Keep separate feeds per household member, all behind the one shared password.
Import channels from OPML, NewPipe subscription JSON or a Google Takeout subscriptions export (Takeout ZIPs up to 300 MB).
Subscriptions, playlists, the database and downloaded files all survive a restart, because everything lives on a persistent data volume.
Managed hosting for YT Zero, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Read one chronological feed of new videos from the channels you follow, without a recommendation feed or a Google account.
Sort, schedule and revisit videos with playlists, tags, rules, watch history and bookmarks.
Enable yt-dlp downloads to keep videos on your own storage, for content you are allowed to keep. QA confirmed a 1080p download completed and streamed back.
Import channels from OPML, NewPipe subscription JSON or a Google Takeout subscriptions export instead of re-adding each one.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is YT Zero Docker hosting without the setup: the pinned ghcr.io pelski/ytzero 2026.09.9 image with one data volume, shared-password authentication switched on, a request limit raised for Takeout imports and HTTPS on your domain.
The template asks for 1024 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 10 GB of disk as a floor. The 6 GB plan is the entry rung here, and downloads are what fill the disk, so plan more if you switch them on.
No. YT Zero reads public YouTube RSS feeds and works without either, so there is no account to sign in to and no API quota to manage. Channels are added by pasting their YouTube URL.
Use the shared password that xCloud generates and shows in your installation credentials. On first boot the entrypoint provisions the managed yt-dlp binary in /data, which can take a few minutes, so wait before judging that it is not responding.
Not between household members. Everyone who knows the shared password can manage the whole instance, including profiles, subscriptions, cookies and downloads. Use a strong password and share it only with people you trust fully, since there is no per-profile protection.
Yes, optionally. Enable downloads in the settings and YT Zero uses yt-dlp to save videos to your persistent storage. Only download content you have the right to keep, and expect the disk to fill as the library grows.
Import from OPML, NewPipe subscription JSON or a Google Takeout subscriptions export. The web server accepts Takeout ZIPs up to 300 MB, though a request through Cloudflare is limited to about 100 MB, so trim a very large export first.
Back up the ytzero_data volume. It contains the database, downloads, cookies, image cache, avatars, logs and the managed yt-dlp binary. Treat backups as sensitive because of the cookies, and stop the app before copying for consistency.
2026.09.9 remains pinned until you take a newer template version. Read the project's release notes beforehand and copy ytzero_data. Catalog updates reach new installations only, so an existing site stays put until you decide, and the data volume survives a redeploy.
YT Zero is AGPL-3.0 software, per the LICENSE file at the 2026.09.9 tag, which costs nothing to run. You pay for the dedicated Cloud VPS and its disk. The companion browser extensions are separate projects with their own terms.
Not through this page. YT Zero cloud hosting here means your own inbox runs on a Cloud VPS that xCloud prepares, with the database and downloads on a volume you own, behind one shared password.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
