Steps to Request Migration Support #
Once all prerequisites are fulfilled, follow these steps to request site migration support from the xCloud team:
Step 1: Create a Support Ticket #
Navigate to the xCloud support portal and create a new support ticket. Select Site Migration as the ticket category. In your ticket, clearly mention that you need site migration support and that all prerequisites have been completed.
Tip: Provide as much detail as possible in your initial ticket to avoid unnecessary back-and-forth communication.
Step 2: Provide Your Site Link #
Include the full URL of the website you want to migrate in the support ticket. For example: https://www.yourwebsite.com
If you have multiple sites to migrate, list each site URL separately.
Step 3: Share WordPress Admin Credentials #
Provide the WordPress admin login credentials for your site in the support ticket. The xCloud support team will need these to access your site during the migration process. Include the following:
- WordPress Admin URL: e.g., https://www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin
- Admin Username: Your WordPress admin username
- Admin Password: Your WordPress admin password
๐ Security Recommendation: It is recommended to change your WordPress admin password after the migration is complete for security purposes.
Step 4: xCloud Team Handles the Migration #
Once the xCloud support team receives your ticket with the site link and WordPress admin credentials, they will begin the migration process. The team will migrate your site to the fresh xCloud server you have set up. You will be notified via the support ticket once the migration is complete.
