Can I Easily Upgrade Or Downgrade My Hosting Plan in xCloud?

You can upgrade an xCloud Managed or xCloud Provider server to a bigger plan from the dashboard. You can’t downgrade a server in place: to use a smaller plan, you create a new server and move your sites to it.

Can I upgrade my hosting plan?

Yes. Open the server, go to ‘Management’ → ‘Settings’, and use the ‘Resize server’ card:

1. Pick a bigger plan in ‘New plan’.
2. Compare the ‘Now’ and ‘After resize’ columns (CPU, RAM, storage and monthly price).
3. Click ‘Resize server’, check the ‘You pay now’ total, type the server name and confirm.

The ‘Resize server’ card is shown for servers xCloud bills you for (xCloud Managed and xCloud Provider). The server must be ‘Connected’. Some servers show ‘Server upgrade is not available’ instead; contact Support if you need a bigger server.

Can I downgrade my hosting plan?

No. The ‘New plan’ list only offers bigger plans, and you can’t move back to a smaller plan later. Take a backup of important data before you resize.

To switch to a smaller plan, set up a new server on that plan. Once it is ready, move your sites with site cloning or a full server migration, check them, then delete the old server.
